At Vesterbo Nursing Home we are looking for new colleagues: one for a permanent day shift and one for a permanent evening shift.

Feel free to apply for the shift team that suits you best.

We are not looking for someone who can do everything from day one, or who never needs to ask for help. We are looking for someone who carries their professional knowledge with them, is curious about people, and wants to be part of a community where we help and support each other in the tasks.

I could write a lot of fine words about professionalism, documentation, observations and healthcare tasks. And don't worry – we will get to it and certainly not skip it! But we also want to tell you a little about what lies around all the tasks.

Because at Vesterbo we work with people. People who have lived a whole life, have their own stories, habits, wishes and quirks. We respect that, and we strive every day to make their home also feel like a home.

And we work together! For our workdays become a bit easier when we have colleagues you can turn to for advice, discuss a situation with, or share a good laugh with. We must be able to be professionally ambitious without believing we must be able to do everything ourselves. We help each other, even when the day does not go exactly as planned. Because it rarely does.

Katrine is the new professional leader at Vesterbo. She is trained SSH, SSA and nurse and is passionate about us continuing to develop – regardless of which professional background we bring. She believes that a large part of the job satisfaction arises when we are allowed to learn new things, be challenged professionally and feel that we become more skilled at what we do.

Therefore it is important to us that you are well prepared for the tasks, have the opportunity to develop, and experience that your professional competence is used. At the same time, we must remember to take care of well-being and each other. Of course, we take our work seriously, but we may also enjoy ourselves while we are here.

As an SSA you will among other things work with healthcare tasks, observations, medication handling, documentation in Nexus and collaboration with residents, relatives and colleagues. You do not need to know everything in advance – the most important thing is that you want to learn, take responsibility and contribute to the community.

We do not promise that all days will be easy, or that the coffee machine will always behave properly. On the contrary, we would like to promise that we will do our best to create a workplace where we talk to each other, use each other’s professional expertise and remember that we are all human – even when we are at work.

Interviews: ongoing interviews

Employment: as soon as possible and no later than January 1, 2027

Salary and terms of employment are in accordance with the applicable collective agreement. Expected salary range will be provided at the first interview. The final salary is set on the basis of your qualifications and previous work experience and after concrete negotiation with the professional organization.

A criminal record check and references may be obtained before employment.
