We are looking for a writer who can help us develop and deliver quality content for our German news media. In the role you will have the opportunity to work with web journalism at a high pace, where your ability to spot relevant stories and create engaging content makes a difference.

Location : Aarhus or Copenhagen

About the job

As a writer you create quotation-based stories, where, based on other media articles and news, you find your own angle on a story. This means that you as a rule will not be doing investigative journalism.

We are looking for a writer who can work full-time during daytime hours. With us you get freedom with responsibility and flexible terms, so you can start at 8-16, 7-15 or similar, as long as it matches the team's needs and your tasks.

Your main tasks will include

• Generating articles for our German news site
• Proofreading German articles
• Using AI as an active tool in your news production
• Spotting trends and tendencies and translating them into engaging content
• Participating in editorial meetings where we together learn how to ensure the best possible content

You will become part of Team Abroad, which helps and spars with each other daily. To ensure the best possible start you will receive an onboarding plan before your first day, and you will be assigned a buddy who is ready to support you from the start

About you

We expect that you have at least a high school education. It is an advantage if you have a higher education in German or communications, e.g. cand.mag., journalist or communications officer, so you are used to writing and working with targeted communication, but it is not a requirement.

The most important thing is that you have an interest in the German language and are good at expressing yourself, so you have a sense of when a headline hits the mark and when it does not.

We expect that you

• Can speak and understand Danish and German, so you can write articles and proofread in German and spar with your colleagues in Danish
• Have a broad range of interests within German news, as you will come into contact with many different topics during a week
• Have a targeted work style, where you are good at executing and taking ownership of your tasks
• Have a ready smile and contribute to a positive atmosphere in the team
• Are good at spotting patterns, connections and trends

The salary is set according to qualifications and experience within a range of 24,000-27,000 DKK per month.
