About the job

Education for Pedagogy Aarhus and Grenaa seeks four adjuncts/lecturers with strong qualifications in pedagogy and profession-oriented teaching. The four positions together must cover teaching within daycare specialization, elective subject nature and outdoor life, as well as the profession's framework and context. The positions include teaching on the regular pedagogy education as well as on the merit and track-change programs. In addition, guidance, examination, and participation in research and development tasks are included.

You will become part of a large and diverse group of colleagues consisting of teachers, study advisers, workshop assistants, administrative staff and leaders. Together we work to create the best possible conditions for students' learning, well-being and professional development.

As part of the development of the new pedagogy education, we work purposefully with profession-oriented teaching, practice arenas and simulation. Through practice-related situations, analyses and reflections, we support students' development of professional judgment and action competence.

We therefore seek teachers who are motivated by linking theory, research and professional practice and who want to help develop the education of the future pedagogues.

We are looking for teachers who

  • have a relevant candidate-, master- and/or PhD-education
  • have solid subject knowledge within one of the described subject areas
  • preferably have experience from pedagogical practice, teaching or research and development work
  • wish to develop their teaching in collaboration with colleagues and students
  • can translate theory and research into profession-relevant teaching
  • work independently and in a structured manner
  • actively contribute to collegial communities and cross-cutting development tasks

We encourage both experienced teachers and candidates with strong professional competencies and potential for teaching at the professional bachelor level to apply.

Teacher with special focus within the daycare sector

We are looking for teachers with strong competencies in pedagogy in daycare.

You have knowledge of pedagogical work with children in kindergartens and can teach topics such as:

  • play, learning and well-being
  • child communities and participation opportunities
  • formation, ethics and view of humanity
  • children's development and democratic participation
  • development of pedagogical learning environments

You are motivated to qualify future pedagogues to create inclusive, developmental and meaningful learning and care environments for children.

Teacher with special focus within nature and outdoor life

We are seeking a teacher with strong professional competencies within nature and outdoor life.

You have natural science knowledge combined with an understanding of how nature can be used as learning and development spaces in pedagogical practice.

We emphasize that you

  • can teach in nature and outdoor pedagogy
  • have insight into nature communication for different target groups
  • can connect natural science knowledge with pedagogical perspectives
  • see potential in outdoor life, sustainability and nature-based learning processes

Experience from the pedagogical profession and teaching at the professional bachelor level is an advantage.

Teacher with special focus within the subject area frames and context

We are seeking a teacher with strong competencies within the societal, legal and institutional frameworks for pedagogical work.

You can, among other things, teach

  • pedagogical governance and welfare frameworks
  • legislation and administrative matters
  • professional communication
  • ethics and professional responsibility
  • diversity and social and cultural conditions for pedagogical work

You can contribute to students developing an understanding of the profession's conditions and their own responsibility as future pedagogues.

We emphasize that you

  • have teaching experience or a desire to develop as a teacher
  • work didactically with an eye for both the individual student and the community
  • support the students' academic, personal and social development
  • actively use exercises, cases, simulations and other practice-oriented teaching methods
  • are interested in collaboration with the practice field and in developing research-based teaching
  • professionally engage in team collaboration, professional learning communities and development tasks
  • have good digital competencies and can structure your work tasks

We offer

With us you become part of a strong professional community with dedicated colleagues who together develop the education of the pedagogy of the future.

We offer a professional and development-oriented workplace with

  • high professionalism and strong collegial communities
  • opportunity to influence teaching and educational development
  • close interaction between research, teaching and practice
  • good opportunities for professional and personal development
  • a work environment characterized by collaboration, engagement and mutual sparring
