About the job

We are strengthening our focus on citizenship and the prevention of parallel societal structures in the national integration effort. You will help build our knowledge in the area through dialogue with researchers, practitioners and other knowledge holders, and you will translate knowledge into concrete policy briefing papers and initiatives.

Welcome to your new office

You will become part of the Office for Danish and Employment, where we support the implementation and development of the government’s integration policy. We advise and guide municipalities on integration and are responsible for Danish language education for adult foreigners.

You will have about 25 engaged colleagues with different professional backgrounds, experiences and perspectives. We solve various tasks, but share the common goal that we are engaged and work to strengthen integration in practice.

In SIRI we work with our strategy and core tasks in mind. We have a strategy house that describes our vision and mission as well as the foundation for our way of working. In SIRI digitalisation is an important part of our daily life. We work with new technological opportunities e.g. AI to strengthen effective and safe task execution and create value for citizens, businesses and employees.

Your tasks

You will become part of a team with a particular focus on employment-related integration. You will also play a central role in developing our efforts within the broader integration agenda with a focus on citizenship and prevention of parallel societal structures. You will contribute to strengthening the professional basis for our efforts and translate knowledge into policy initiatives.

It requires that you can understand complex issues, seek relevant knowledge and assess what is politically significant. You will have close collaboration with colleagues in SIRI and the ministry and will also have contact with researchers, practitioners, civil society and other external actors.

Your main tasks will include, among others

  • prepare notes, briefings and other outputs for political servicing of the ministry
  • contribute to development of new political initiatives in the field of integration
  • collect and analyse knowledge for policy development, professional efforts and advice to municipalities
  • establish and coordinate cooperation with researchers, practitioners, civil society and other relevant actors
  • drive the implementation of initiatives so that political decisions are translated into practice
  • advise and guide municipalities and other partners and handle other tasks in the field of integration

About you

You have a relevant academic education and a strong understanding of working in a politically governed organization. You may have experience from a ministry, an agency or another politically governed organization. The crucial thing is that you can combine professional and political understanding and can translate complex issues into clear decision proposals.

We place particular emphasis on that you

  • are strong in political servicing and can see what is essential in a political context
  • write clearly and precisely and can convey complex issues so they are usable for decision-makers
  • have insight into the integration area and interest in questions about citizenship and parallel societies
  • have an eye for how policy proposals can be implemented in municipalities’ practice
  • collaborate well with colleagues and external parties and thrive with different types of tasks and shifting agendas and sometimes tight deadlines
  • are analytically strong and can build the focus area within prevention of parallel societal structures.

We offer you

You will have the opportunity to work closely with the political agenda and help develop an area that has great significance for society’s development. You will have responsibility for concrete deliverables and the opportunity to help build knowledge, develop new ideas and strengthen the future efforts.

You will also become part of a professionally ambitious and informal office, where we collaborate across and use each other’s different professional backgrounds and perspectives. There is room to ask questions, challenge existing solutions and come with new ideas.

You will have the opportunity for flexibility in planning your working hours, with the possibility of one weekly remote workday.
