Social and Health Care Assistant (SHCA) at Solbakken Nursing Home

At Solbakken Nursing Home, we are facing an exciting change.

From January 2027, we will be a smaller nursing home when the temporary beds transfer to the Region. That means fewer beds, but not fewer ambitions. On the contrary, we see it as an opportunity to strengthen what already characterizes Solbakken: closeness, community and a strong focus on residents' quality of life .

Solbakken will consist of a somatic department with 8 rooms and a department for residents with dementia with 12 rooms.

Therefore we are looking for a Social and Health Care Assistant who wants to help develop the nursing home of the future together with us.

A home with room for the individual

At Solbakken we believe that a good life does not stop when you move to a nursing home. Each resident has their own story, their own habits and their own wishes for daily life. Therefore we work with person-centered care, where we start from the individual resident's life, resources and wishes rather than fixed standard solutions.

We are also focused on the intentions of the new Elderly Act. Self-determination is not just something we talk about. It is something we strive to translate into action every day so that residents experience influence over their own lives and their own daily routines.

Based on the Elderly Act, we also work with holistic care. For us this means viewing care as a cohesive effort, where we start from the whole person and create solutions that make sense for the individual resident.

We want to create a nursing home where people meet with respect, curiosity and professionalism, and where the relationship is as important as the task.
