About the job

Are you eager to become part of an engaged secretarial community where we help each other, have room for a good laugh, and together make a difference for patients with acquired brain injury? Then perhaps you are the one we are looking for.

We are seeking a new colleague for our brain injury unit at Rigshospitalet in Glostrup. You will have two experienced medical secretaries as your closest colleagues, and together you will support the good patient pathways in our inpatient ward and our new visitation unit.

At the same time you will become part of a larger secretarial group in the Department of Brain and Spinal Cord Injuries, where we collaborate, share knowledge and help each other across departments.

A little about us

The Department of Brain and Spinal Cord Injuries is a highly specialized rehabilitation department that receives both children and adults with acquired brain or spinal cord injuries from all of Eastern Denmark, Greenland and the Faroe Islands.

Our patients have often been through serious illnesses or accidents and need a comprehensive, multidisciplinary rehabilitation effort. We work closely across disciplines to help patients progress toward as independent and meaningful everyday life as possible.

We are located in bright, modern surroundings at Rigshospitalet in Glostrup, where we have 4 inpatient wards and an outpatient clinic.

In the secretarial group we work across the brain injury unit, the spinal cord injury unit and the outpatient clinic. We have diverse professional backgrounds and competencies. We place emphasis on a good learning environment, professional sparring and knowledge sharing.

You will thus have both close daily collaboration with your two closest colleagues and a larger professional community to be a part of.

A little about the job and your everyday life

You will primarily be attached to the brain injury unit, where you together with your two closest colleagues handle the secretarial tasks in the inpatient wards and our new visitation unit.

As a health administrator you are an important part of the daily collaboration around the patients. You help create an overview, ensure continuity in the patient pathways and make everyday life run smoothly for patients, relatives and colleagues.

Our visitation unit is under development, and you will therefore have the opportunity to help shape the workflows and find good solutions together with us.

Your tasks will include, among others

  • Secretarial support for the inpatient wards and support for patient pathways.
  • Administrative tasks related to visitation and referrals.
  • Coordination and communication with referring departments and other partners.
  • Management of work rosters, registrations and other tasks in the Health Platform.
  • Telephone handling and various administrative tasks.
  • Participation in development and improvement of workflows.

Tasks are distributed collectively and we try to consider both competencies and interests as far as possible and sustainable.

What can we offer you?

First and foremost, you will have two skilled and helpful secretarial colleagues who look forward to welcoming you, and a larger secretarial community that you will naturally become a part of.

In addition we offer

  • Close daily collaboration with room for humor and helpfulness.
  • A professional community with secretarial colleagues across the entire department.
  • Opportunities for sparring, knowledge sharing and professional development.
  • A thorough introduction so you settle in well with both tasks and the department.
  • A varied workday with opportunities for independence and responsibility.
  • Influence on task distribution and development of workflows.
  • Close collaboration with doctors, nurses, therapists and other professional groups.
  • Possibility for remote work days, depending on the nature of the tasks.
  • An employer where your efforts are seen and valued.

Who are you?

We hope you are a colleague who is keen to contribute to both the professional and social community.

You thrive in a day-to-day where tasks vary and there can be busyness at times. You have an eye for detail but can also keep an overview and prioritize when several things require your attention.

We imagine that you

  • Are trained as medical secretary or health administrative coordinator.
  • Have experience with the Health Platform.
  • Work in a structured, independent and responsible manner.
  • Are approachable and good at collaborating with many different people.
  • Are eager to learn new things and contribute ideas on how we can make things even better.
  • Appreciate good collegiality where we help each other and speak to each other respectfully.

You do not need to have prior knowledge of neurorehabilitation. The most important thing is that you want to learn about our specialty and become part of our community.

Practical information

The position is initially 37 hours per week, but we are open to discussing a lower hourly rate.

Salary and conditions follow the current collective agreement for health administrative staff.

Start date: By agreement.

Application deadline: 30 November 2026
