Are you an educator with a passion for play, relationships and strong child communities , then it is you we are looking for for our kindergarten . You can help shape the framework for good childhood life in Kometen near Brabrand's nature and not far from Aarhus city center.

We are a small integrated facility with 20 kindergarten children distributed across two rooms and 22 toddlers , which are likewise divided into two rooms. The staff group is broadly represented with both experienced and new people. We enjoy good relations and have great respect for each other’s competencies. We believe that children do the best they can, and it is us adults who create the framework for the safe development.

The position is 37 hours from 1 December 2026, but we are happy to wait for the right person – whether you are experienced or newly trained.

We are looking for

• A structured educator for the kindergarten with a eye for community, a desire for professional development and quality in pedagogical work.
• Someone who sees the value of professional collaboration in an integrated institution, where we together ensure the good everyday life for all our children in Kometen.
• You who want to join our strong learning community around the children with a focus on close teamwork and constructive parent collaboration.

We are looking for someone who enjoys playing, turning things upside down and having fun. Rhyme with silly words and be a linguistic role model, so it becomes easier to put words to actions and feelings. Someone who sees value in being absorbed in the children's play and being “beside them” when friendship troubles arise. We are looking for someone who wants to engage with our interdisciplinary collaboration with other professionals such as PPR and Child Therapy.

Someone who wants to be part of our reflective approach to practice, and our structured daily life, which provides room for learning environments and budding friendships.

• We are part of a large day care network and are closely connected with several of the day care’s institutions. This enables sparring between departments, conversations over the fence and visits with child groups on each other’s playgrounds .

We insist on a daily life with good mood, presence and safety, and daily practice is characterized by structure, which is for the children and to maintain the professional course through everyday life.

Salary and terms of employment

Salary and terms of employment will be in accordance with the applicable collective agreement. Final salary setting takes place after negotiation with the authorized trade union on the basis of qualifications, unless the position is covered by a pre-agreement, which can form the basis for the salary setting

The position is from 1 December 2026, but we are happy to wait for the right person and will conduct ongoing interviews.

Weekly hours: The position is initially 37 hours with the possibility of adjustment according to your life circumstances.

About us

Kometen is one of the 10 departments in Brabrandsøen’s Daycare. We are a small integrated institution with two toddlers groups and two kindergarten groups. We have 20 kindergarten children and 22 toddlers; distributed across two toddler groups and two kindergarten groups.

We currently have 11 engaged staff members and a pedagogical leader who are close to the children and their families. The children with us come from the districts of Engdalskolen and Sødalskolen, and we have some wonderful parents and an active parent council who are positive collaborators in daily life.
