About the job

Do you want to work with gynecology, professionalism and short patient pathways – in a non-on-call position?

Welcome to the Gynecological Ambulatory Clinic in Svendborg

Here you will meet women in different life situations and with a wide range of gynecological issues. What they have in common is that the encounter with us is often short – but meaningful. Therefore we place emphasis on high professionalism, presence and the ability to quickly create security and trust.

The ambulatory clinic has seven ambulatory examination rooms and 70–80 patient visits per day. We handle assessment, examinations and treatment within general gynecology, urogynaecology and gynecologic oncology.

A substantial part of our activity is carried out independently by nurses. This provides opportunities to use and develop your nursing professional skills and to take independent responsibility in patient pathways.

We are eight nurses, several of whom have many years of experience in gynecology. This means you will become part of a professionally strong environment with good opportunities for training, sparring and development.

Two sites – one professional community

We work closely with the Gynecological Ambulatory Clinic in Odense, and many of our patients have pathways at both sites. Therefore we view Svendborg and Odense as parts of the same gynecological offering.

Your primary workplace will be in Svendborg, but part of the working time will be located in Odense. It is therefore important that you enjoy working across sites and want to be an active part of both professional communities.

Your workday with us

You will work with outpatient patient pathways where the pace can be high, and where days are rarely exactly the same.

Nursing consists largely of short-term nursing care, where clinical, psychological and educational nursing are central. You must be able to meet each woman where she is, while maintaining overview and ensuring quality and coherence in the patient pathway.

We work closely and as equals with our medical colleagues. We are together about the patient pathway , and the interdisciplinary collaboration is an important part of our everyday life.

In Department D we work from a common nursing strategy and have a strong focus on developing nursing care and the good patient pathway – including the patient approach is always on our agenda. At the same time, the work environment matters a lot to us. We believe that high professionalism, helpfulness and a healthy portion of humor can – and should – go hand in hand.

Who are you?

We imagine that you are a nurse who

  • wants to work with gynecology and nursing tailored to short patient pathways
  • meets patients and relatives empathetically, respectfully and professionally
  • thrives with both independence and close interdisciplinary collaboration
  • is curious and wants to develop your professional skills
  • takes responsibility and contributes actively to today’s tasks
  • can work flexibly across our two sites
  • contributes to both the professional and social community.

You do not need to be a gynecological expert when you start with us. The most important thing is that you want the specialty, are curious and want to learn. We will ensure you are well introduced and trained by experienced colleagues.

What you get with us

We offer you

  • a challenging specialty with great variation in patient pathways
  • opportunity for independent nursing roles
  • experienced colleagues who are happy to share their knowledge and help you integrate into the specialty
  • a close and equal cross-disciplinary collaboration
  • a strong professional and social work environment
  • the possibility to become part of the combined gynecological environment across Svendborg and Odense.

The ambulatory clinic is open every weekday from 7.30–15.30.

The position is currently non-on-call. In return, we expect flexibility regarding being able to work at both sites at short notice when the task requires it.

Have we sparked your curiosity?

We would love to hear from you.
