Weekend employee for respite care at Munkehatten

Are you a student in the health and/or pedagogical field and would you like to contribute with creating safe environments and good experiences outside the home . Then this might be you we are looking for.

The respite care at Munkehatten is a service for currently 13 residents with room for 4 residents at a time in the house. The residents are adults and live with their parents, but stay at Munkehatten for different periods and for different reasons.

The residents have significant long-term physical and mental functional impairments, which means that they need help with eating, personal care and activities. It is a group of residents that require you to both take initiative and be observant, so they have the opportunity to participate. It varies which residents are in the house, which requires you to be good at reading behavior, being present and being able to understand the different dynamics that arise in the house.

Munkehatten works from the core task based on a rehabilitative approach in relation to the individual resident. ”With the starting point in the individual resident's prerequisites and in cooperation with them, we create the possibilities for the good life”

We are seeking a weekend worker of 7.5 hours per week as of January 1, 2027 or as soon as possible. You will be required to work every second weekend. The weekend shifts will be split between day shift and evening shift.

About you

We expect that you;

• Are good at taking initiative and seeing opportunities in everyday life, e.g., can assess whether the resident composition allows a trip to the zoo or whether a sensory room visit is meaningful for the day.
• Have the desire and experience with working with alternative and supplementary communication
• Have experience or knowledge of our resident group and are passionate about it
• Have knowledge of personal care or a desire to learn more about it
• Focus on good collaboration with relatives
• Are a resource detective and take joy in the small and large successes for the residents
• Can reflect on and evaluate your own practice

Salary and terms of employment

Salary and terms of employment in accordance with the applicable collective agreement between KL and the bargaining-supported organization. The position is paid according to the applicable collective agreement. The expected salary level will be disclosed before any interview and depends on experience and qualifications
