Do you want to be a key person in complex industrial and life science projects and drive cross-disciplinary design deliveries from idea to finished solution?

AFRY Industry Buildings delivers services for the design and construction of facilities that support industrial processes such as manufacturing, processing, warehousing or research. We prioritise the Life Science, dairy, food, ingredients and defence sectors.

As a Work Package Owner (WPO) within construction, you will play a central role in planning, coordinating and delivering work packages across complex projects. You ensure coherence between disciplines and contribute to the project’s quality, time and cost targets being met.

Your responsibilities and tasks will among other things include

• Ensure technical quality, progress and delivery of work packages within construction.
• Coordinate activities between structural engineers, BIM designers and other project members.
• Handle technical clarifications and ensure documented interfaces between disciplines.
• Ensure that design solutions support requirements for functionality, safety, economy and execution.
• Contribute to planning, resource coordination and management of deliveries across the project organisation.

In this role you will work closely with clients, consultants, contractors and internal specialists, where your ability to create overview and structure will be crucial for the project’s success.

Qualifications

You are an experienced structural engineer with coordination skills and documented experience from complex construction projects. You thrive on responsibility and delivering progress. Your background may include

• Education as a civil engineer or diploma engineer with a specialty in structures.
• Experience with design of steel, concrete and prefabricated structures.
• Experience with leadership and coordination of construction deliveries in complex projects.
• Solid understanding of the interaction between structures, installations and industrial processes.
• Experience with quality assurance, design reviews and technical risk management.

In addition, you are a strong collaborator who is motivated by bringing people and disciplines together towards common goals. You are able to translate complex technical problems into practical and buildable solutions.

AFRY has 9 locations in Denmark. Your permanent base will be at our offices in Herlev, Herning or Aarhus, depending on your residence.
