About the job
The Director’s Secretariat is seeking 2 academics for the Southern Jutland Hospital
Do you like working closely with the decisions that shape daily life for patients, citizens and employees? Do you thrive on creating direction, structure and overview in a complex reality where tasks are important and the pace is high? Do you have organizational acumen and distinctly good collaboration skills? Then you may be one of the two academics we are looking for to the Director’s Secretariat at the Southern Jutland Hospital.
With Strategy 2030 we will move from hospital to health care system . We must continue to be a strong hospital – and at the same time be more present in the close to citizens’ everyday life, in close collaboration with municipalities and general practice. It requires a proactive organization , where we work systematically with leadership, follow-up and implementation
At the same time, the establishment of Health Council Southern Jutland means that the political level has moved closer to the hospital’s everyday life. This sets new demands for our leadership work and processes.
As a new employee in the directorate secretariat you will play a central role in supporting the executive team’s work in both daily management and long-term development – and in ensuring that the strategy becomes reality.
Your tasks
You will become part of a small, centrally placed secretariat that works closely with the management, staff and clinical departments. You will have a broad portfolio of tasks, including:
- Support management meetings – directorate meetings, meetings with department heads and other central leadership forums – from agenda to minutes and follow-up
- Prepare case documents, statements, briefs and presentations for the executive
- Handle ongoing secretariat tasks and help to ensure control of processes and deadlines
- Contribute to translating Strategy 2030 into structure and action in everyday life
- Contribute to ongoing coordination and prioritization across projects and initiatives.
In addition, for the right candidate there will be an opportunity to participate in the work to lift the emergency preparedness area, including a focus on maintaining normal operation for as long as possible through clear prioritization, coordination and robust solutions.
In short: You help make things happen – and ensure that good decisions are followed through.
About you
We imagine that you have a relevant advanced education – e.g. as a social science candidate (cand.scient.pol. or similar) or a health candidate with a higher degree. You may be newly graduated or have several years of experience from a politically governed or larger public organization.
We value that you
- have analytical and strategic sense and can quickly get to grips with new problems
- have organizational understanding and distinctly good collaboration skills
- can create structure and overview – even when there are many deadlines and complex cases
- have strong written skills and can articulate yourself to different target audiences
- can work independently and ensure progress in your tasks
- thrive in a daily life with many collaboration interfaces, and where we provide service, perform well for others and take initiative where needed
The everyday is changeable and requires you to work flexibly while maintaining a high professional quality.
We offer
You will become part of an organization that is in full swing with an important development – and where your contribution can be felt. We offer:
- opportunity to get close to decisions and play a central role in a key role in implementing Strategy 2030
- insight into and influence on both the strategic and the concrete leadership work at the hospital
- a good working environment with freedom under responsibility and close collaborative relationships with the administration’s other employees and the hospital’s departments
- a busy and varied daily life in an informal environment with many professional areas
- good introduction to the tasks and the opportunity to influence the content of the position
The place of service is Aabenraa. Travel may occur in connection with meetings at other sites and with partner organizations.
Salary, employment and contact
This is a permanent full-time position (37 hours) with the start date 1 January 2027 or by agreement.
Southern Jutland Hospital is required to inform you of the starting salary for the position. You will be told the base salary, centrally fixed allowances and pension for Academics (33.01.1). Beyond the starting salary, the pay may include any negotiated allowances depending on the position, your experience and qualifications.
