Do you want to use your pedagogical expertise in a calm 1:1 assignment, where structure, presence and recognizable activities are in focus? Then you have the opportunity here to create safe afternoons with, among other things, walks and puzzles for a young woman in Odense N.

About the assignment

You will be a regular pedagogical support for a 19-year-old woman in Odense N. Your task is to be with her until her parents come home, and to create a safe and predictable framework around the afternoon.

She has general learning difficulties and needs structure, shielding from distractions and recognizable activities. She enjoys being outdoors, going for walks and doing puzzles. She needs support to get started with activities, and you take the initiative based on her interests and how she is feeling that day.

In communication she needs short and simple messages. If she becomes unsettled or frustrated, she needs a calm and clear approach, where you can allow her a pause and help her find calm again.

There is also light personal care involved. She can use the toilet herself, but needs support and guidance after toilet visits.

About you

You are a trained pedagogue and preferably have experience with adults with developmental disabilities. You can create structure and predictability and communicate briefly, simply and clearly.

It is important that you have a calm approach and can handle frustrations. You take the initiative for activities and can at the same time adapt the company to her needs and daily form.

It is advantageous if you have a driving license and own car, as then you have the opportunity to pick her up at the club she attends. For driving related to the assignment you will be compensated at the highest rate for mileage allowances.

Working hours

The position is 6.5 hours per week distributed over three fixed afternoons

Monday 16:00–18:00

Tuesday 16:00–18:00

Friday 15:30–18:00
