1-2 Unclassified mid-level on-call positions in Surgery starting 1/12-26 or as soon as possible thereafter

The Department of Stomach-, Bowel- and Liver Diseases, Surgical Section, Herlev Hospital seeks one or more experienced reserve doctors to cover mid-shift duties.

The department handles one of the country’s largest acute-surgical admission areas and thus offers a great opportunity to enhance competencies in acute diagnosis, treatment and surgery. In addition to the acute section, the department comprises dedicated and highly specialized teams for upper surgery, lower surgery and endoscopy.

• CAMES courses in colonoscopy and ample opportunities for practical endoscopy with a focused training stay
• Large flow of acute-surgical operations
• Supervised elective surgery, including especially laparoscopic cholecystectomy and hernia surgery, but also participation in colorectal operations
• Dedicated supervision from a supervisor team that oversees all I-positions and pre-course participants
• An active research environment with the opportunity to participate to a greater or lesser extent

The position is ideal for doctors who have just completed their introductory surgical placement and who need experience from another department ahead of applying for a Hoveduddannelse (main training) in surgery

The positions are for 12 months.
