About us

Etablissement – and Terrain Command delivers and develops the physical framework for the military operational units and the other authorities under the Ministry of Defence. This includes everything from maintenance of buildings and areas, sleeping accommodations for the soldiers, desks for offices, meals in canteens and cleaning.

About the position

As a service assistant or cleaning assistant you will be an important part of everyday life at Varde Barracks. You help create clean and well-functioning frames for the barracks' staff, students and guests.

Your primary tasks are to

• Perform daily and periodic cleaning
• Order cleaning agents and other consumables
• Handle laundry
• Coach new colleagues and contribute to the team's shared tasks
• Carry out self-inspection and ensure high quality in task execution

You will become part of a team of 11 employees, where we place emphasis on cooperation, helpfulness and quality. The position is 37 hours per week with a fixed workplace in Varde. Working hours are primarily between 05:00 and 16:00, and there may occasionally be work on Sundays and holidays. About you

We would like you to be trained as a service assistant, or have experience with cleaning. The most important thing is that you are willing to learn and contribute to the community. Of course we provide thorough training.

In addition, we would like you to speak, read and understand Danish.

Your colleagues value you for your constructive dialogue with colleagues. In addition, you have a good sense of humor, even when we are busy.

You are service-minded and flexible, and you are good at overseeing your tasks.

You must have a Category B driving license and must hold it throughout the employment

Employment terms

The employment is governed by the applicable Central Collective Agreement between the Ministry of Finance and Public Employees Organizations – The State Sector (OAO-S central collective agreement) and the Organizational Agreement for cleaning assistants, sanitators, skilled workers and certain vocationally trained etc. in the state (3F).

Depending on your qualifications and competences, there is a possibility to negotiate allowances. The position includes an employer-funded pension scheme.

The workplace is in Varde.

As an employee within the Ministry of Defence, you are subject to certain special terms. You must, among other things, be security cleared and maintain the security clearance throughout the employment.

You have as an employee a duty to render service outside the country’s borders, including at units in international operations with a view to participating in conflict prevention, peacekeeping, peacebuilding, humanitarian and other similar operations.
