2 mechanics/fitters wanted for an exciting automotive company in Dragør – conversions

Conversion preparation from fuel to electric · Practical development – Full-time, on-site , Dragør, Denmark

RENTEQ Automotive is looking for two practical and skilled mechanics/fitters who can take care of the mechanical aspects of our conversions to electric and who have the right mindset to work in a development environment where processes are continuously optimized.

About RENTEQ Automotive

RENTEQ Automotive is a young Danish company with an ambition to reduce CO₂ emissions by electrifying vans and construction machinery. We are based in Dragør and take care of the whole journey – from engineering and development all the way to production.

The job

As a mechanic/assembler with us you will work with the practical part of the conversions – preparing and dismantling machines and vehicles so they are ready for electrification.

The conversions do not take place on a production line – each project is different. You will work closely with the engineering and production teams and be able to contribute to problem solving early, helping us build smarter from one cycle to the next. You will help ensure that every component is handled correctly and documented accurately, as your work is the foundation for the entire conversion project.

Your typical tasks will be

● Disassembly of engine and fuel system – with focus on proper handling and documentation

● Preparation of chassis and body for mounting of new electrical components

● Adjustment of components after conversion in close collaboration with the electronics and software teams

● Quality control and documentation of all mounting steps and findings during dismantling

● Ongoing improvement of processes and workflows – you can contribute to the guides and checklists we develop

● Working with varied machines and vehicles – from small vans to large construction machines

● Together we always keep the workshop organized, equipment maintained and processes documented to ensure the highest possible quality.

Is it you?

We are looking for a person with solid practical experience and an approach that combines precision with flexibility. Most importantly, you can work independently but are also skilled at collaborating in a team that continually learns and develops. It would be advantageous if you can answer yes to the following:

● Experience with mounting and dismantling of engines, hydraulic systems and fuel components on agricultural machinery, construction machinery or vans

● Solid knowledge of mechanical systems, fluid systems and electrical fundamentals

● Ideally experience with or strong interest in conversions and retrofits

● AC course or equivalent (not mandatory but a big advantage)

● Ability to work in a structured way and document your work

● Independence and responsibility, but also openness to feedback and collaboration

● Patience and a positive attitude to work in a development environment where we continually refine the process

● Danish at a high level; working English is an advantage, as we are an international team.
