About the job

Are you the pedagogue who dreams of working with autism and LA2U, then you might be Flintebjerg Vest's new pedagogue!

About us

Flintebjerg Vest is a residential facility under §105/§85, consisting of 8 apartments. There live 8 residents aged 31-50.

The residents at Flintebjerg Vest are individuals who fall within the autism spectrum or who benefit from the structured and predictable pedagogical approach. The residents all have physical and mental disabilities and need lasting support and guidance regarding everyday functions, such as personal care, meals, finances, social relations with fellow citizens, as well as cognitive support and guidance as needed.

At Flintebjerg Vest we work from a structured and affirming approach, where we emphasize relationship work, predictability and development – always based on the individual resident's wishes, needs and prerequisites.

It is advantageous that you have knowledge of or experience with self-harm and outwardly aggressive behavior, and have a pedagogical interest and curiosity to look behind the behavior. We use the LA2U method, where we work purposefully with the resident's inside-out perspective. The method contributes to developing and strengthening our shared professional foundation for the benefit of both residents and staff.

You will work in an interdisciplinary staff team consisting of pedagogues, pedagogical assistants, social and health care assistants, social and health helpers and care assistants. We regularly receive trainee pedagogical assistants and pedagogy students and are a place with room to be in the learning environment. We can offer:

  • A thorough introduction to tasks and the workplace
  • The Autism Pilot education
  • Training programs in LA2U
  • A workplace where your professionalism and commitment make a difference
  • A clear pedagogical approach based on LA2U, with a focus on learning and professional development
  • Great influence on daily planning
  • A work environment characterized by trust, openness and collaboration
  • Inclusive leadership, where values such as openness, trust and collaboration are highly valued

We expect the following qualifications

  • Are a qualified pedagogue and have an interest in autism
  • Have good IT skills and the ability to document professionally in writing
  • Are engaged and curious to develop professionally
  • Work in a structured way and see opportunities rather than limitations
  • Have a driver's license

We expect our new colleague to

  • Be able to work with respect and empathy for the individual resident
  • Have good teamwork skills, be responsible and flexible
  • Have the desire and ability to work with the individual approach to the resident
  • Can work in a structured manner.
  • Can see opportunities rather than limitations
