Activity and Development in Viborg Municipality is looking for a committed and professionally strong health care colleague for a permanent position as Activity Worker with primarily workplace at Team Bjerringbro at Enggården.

About Team Bjerringbro

In Team Bjerringbro you will meet home-dwelling older citizens with different resources, needs and prerequisites. We work with open day care offerings, where activities, training, relationships and communities are used professionally and purposefully to support citizens' mastery, functional level and quality of life. At the moment we work at two locations, both at Enggården Bjerringbro and at Højvangen in Ørum. During the summer of 2027 we will move to a new address in Bjerringbro, where visiting day care offerings will be opened.

Everyday life requires that you can see the individual and at the same time have an eye for the group. You must be able to translate your health professional skills into meaningful activities and interventions and be part of creating safe frameworks where citizens experience participation, self-determination and the opportunity to use and develop their resources.

You will become part of a small, strong multidisciplinary team of five employees. We solve the tasks together and actively bring our different professional backgrounds and perspectives into play. We help each other, are flexible in everyday life and place emphasis on a work environment characterized by positivity, collaboration and respect for both each other and our different professional backgrounds.

About Activity and Development

Activity and Development is a department under Health in Viborg Municipality and consists of six teams, which together provide activity offers and supportive interventions to home-dwelling older citizens over 67 years. One of the teams works specifically with loneliness prevention.

We work within the Public Service Act for the Elderly §6, §16, §79 and §84 and offer both open and referred day care offerings. The interventions have a rehabilitative, maintenance and preventive aim.

Our common professional foundation is KRAP (Cognitive, Resource-focused and Appreciative Pedagogy). The rehabilitative approach is a cornerstone of our work, where the citizen's resources, wishes and possibilities are the pivot of the intervention. We work from the values: presence, companionship and mastery.

We work from a shared “WE”, where we think of each other across and contribute to task solving and knowledge sharing across all 6 teams.

Your tasks

• plan and carry out group-based activities and training with a clear professional purpose
• work person-centered and rehabilitative with focus on safety, structure, presence and participation
• support citizens' resources, mastery, self-determination and quality of life
• contribute with ADL support where relevant for the individual citizen
• observe changes in citizens' functional level and actively bring your health professional assessment into play
• document interventions and observations in Nexus
• collaborate closely with colleagues, relatives and relevant multidisciplinary partners
• actively contribute to the daily operation, structure and ongoing development of the offering
• provide professional sparring and help create a positive work environment with psychological safety and shared responsibility

We are looking for you who

• have a relevant health care education and can clearly apply your professionalism in work with older citizens
• have strong relationship skills and can work rehabilitative and appreciative with focus on both the individual citizen and the community .
• have understanding of group activities and group dynamics and preferably experience with or interest within areas such as music, movement and creativity .
• are reflective and development-oriented and eager to apply your professionalism in interdisciplinary sparring and contribute to a work environment characterized by psychological safety .
• have good IT skills and see documentation as a natural part of the professional task. Familiarity with KRAP is an advantage but not a requirement.
• can identify with Viborg Municipality's values: Diversity, Decency, Skill and COURAGE.
• have a driver's license and car available

Practical information

• The position is permanent and generally 37 hours per week.
• Primary workplace: Team Bjerringbro at Jørgens Alle 42 in Bjerringbro and Højen 1 in Ørum
• The working time is mainly on weekdays between 07:00 and 16:00. There can rarely be work in the evenings and on weekends and public holidays.
• Start on 1 December 2026 or earlier by agreement.
• Salary is determined on the basis of applicable collective agreement and a concrete assessment of your education, your documented work experience and your professional and personal qualifications. Before employment and entering into the salary agreement you have the opportunity to receive information about the starting salary in the specific position; Viborg Municipality uses objective and gender-neutral criteria for salary setting in accordance with rules on equal pay for equal work or work of equal value, and in accordance with the relevant collective agreement.
