About the job

Would you like a career where you are allowed to use your physiotherapeutic expertise broadly – and at the same time have great freedom to plan your own day?

Then we have a position that does not become available very often.

In the Health Service we are seeking a paediatric physiotherapist with start on 1 December 2026 or by agreement. You will be part of a small, interdisciplinary team with high professionalism, great independence and a shared focus on creating the best possible framework for children and young people in Lolland Municipality.

We are in the Health Service, 9 health visitors, 2 occupational therapists and 2 physiotherapists – of which you may become the one.

A daily life close to the children

As a paediatric physiotherapist with us you will have a versatile working day, where you meet the children in the contexts where their daily lives are lived.

You will among other things

  • manage rehabilitation of children and young people up to 18 years
  • be attached to the special kindergarten in Maribo, where you contribute with your physiotherapeutic expertise
  • examine, guide and treat children with close involvement of their parents
  • be responsible for open advisory in Maribo once a month together with an occupational therapist
  • participate in cross-disciplinary meetings and collaborations where just your physiotherapeutic perspective is important when we together have to find the best possibilities and solutions for the child
  • work closely with among others parents, kindergartens, schools and other professionals around the child.

In our professional work we use among other things ABC-movement test, AIMS and Bayley.

You get freedom – and we expect you to use it

The position is self- planning, and that means that you have a great influence on planning your own workday.

We believe that high professionalism thrives best together with trust and responsibility. Therefore you get room to prioritise and plan your tasks within the frameworks and direction that we set together.

You are not alone either. You will have physiotherapist peer support and become part of a team where different professional backgrounds are used actively, and where we help each other.

A team you want to be part of

We are proud that there are very few vacancies in the Health Service.

Here you meet colleagues with high professionalism and strong commitment to the children and their families – but also a team where there is humour, coziness and fun moments in a busy workday.

You will have an office at the Town Hall in Maribo, centrally located and close to the station and the motorway exit.

With us you also get

  • a introduction program so you settle well into both tasks and the organisation
  • opportunity for professional sparring and supervision
  • relevant competence development
  • a close cross-disciplinary environment
  • great independence and opportunity to influence your own work.

Who are you?

First and foremost you are a trained physiotherapist and eager to work with children and young people.

We also imagine that you

  • work structured and can create an overview of your own tasks
  • thrive with both independence and close collaboration
  • are curious about other professions and dare to bring your own clearly into play
  • meet children, families and partners in an acknowledging and respectful way
  • have humor and a desire to contribute to the community
  • have a driver's license.

If you already have experience with paediatric physiotherapy or our professional methods, that is naturally an advantage. But we are also interested in hearing from you if you have the right physiotherapeutic professionalism and a strong motivation to work with children.

Maybe you are the one we are looking for?

If you are looking for a classic physiotherapist position, there are many opportunities.

If, on the other hand, you are seeking a role with children and young people, a high degree of independence, interdisciplinary collaboration, professional challenges and the possibility to make a concrete difference in the children's everyday life, then we think you should consider applying with us. For this opportunity, it does not come up often.

Salary and employment conditions

The position is 32 hours per week with commencement 1 December 2026 or by agreement. Recruitment interviews are expected to be held Thursday 22 October 2026.

Starting salary in the position is expected to take as its basis the basic salary progression in the agreement for physiotherapists 37t (DKK 30,903.89 – 36,856.31). In addition there is a pension of 19.44%. In addition there will be the possibility of negotiating individual allowances based on relevant competencies as well as a function allowance. Pay is according to applicable collective agreement and principles of local pay setting. A criminal record and child-safeguarding check will be obtained for the person offered the position.

Application process

  • Application deadline 18 October 2026 at 23:59.
  • Date for interviews 22 October 2026.
