About the job

In connection with the municipality's changing task portfolio as the health reform comes into force on 1 January 2027, Esbjerg Municipality will consolidate the majority of the temporary placements in a municipal rehabilitation department with 15 round-the-clock beds located at Plejehjemmet Hedelund. The staff will consist of nurses, social and health care assistants, occupational therapists, physiotherapists, and domestic assistants.

The nursing unit therefore seeks 2 physiotherapists. The positions are 37 hours, preferably day shifts. Some public holidays may be expected. Other working hours can be requested.

Start date 1 January 2027

The target group for the department is citizens who, over a defined period, require a temporary, 24-hour care stay because the citizen's situation cannot be clarified, rehabilitated or supported sufficiently in their own home.

The department will receive citizens with complex and often unresolved issues that affect their health, functional ability and their ability to manage daily life in their own home. The trajectories focus on clarifying the citizen's future health and functional ability as well as needs for support, housing and interventions with a view to as much independence as possible.

As a physiotherapist you will be responsible for the following tasks

  • Plan and qualify rehabilitation pathways based on the citizen
  • Independently be able to assess, plan and carry out physiotherapeutic intervention
  • Solve complex physiotherapeutic tasks in collaboration with the other staff
  • Offer function- or activity-based training where there is a need
  • Collaborate with both internal and external partners

We expect that

  • You have clinical experience within the physiotherapy field
  • You are eager to work cross-disciplinary and have an appreciative and rehabilitative approach to citizens
  • You can solve complex physiotherapeutic tasks, work evidence-based and be able to integrate new knowledge
  • You thrive in a busy daily life where you must take responsibility and be able to prioritise your tasks
  • You are flexible and energetic, with a desire to use your profession in a wide range of tasks
  • You are passionate about contributing to the development and quality assurance of the physiotherapeutic area
  • You can communicate knowledge and educate in new physiotherapeutic measures both to individuals and in more formal teaching sessions
  • You must be able to cooperate with both external and internal partners
  • You use physiotherapeutic documentation practices and can use common documentation tools

We look forward to hearing from you

We are looking for you who are educated physiotherapist, professionally grounded and who can also envisage developing your competencies in a cross-disciplinary context in cooperation with other actors.

If you are curious and would like to hear more, you are welcome to contact the ward manager Gitte Puggaard at the phone number 29 33 52 84 or email [email protected]
