About the job

What can we offer

  • A meaningful and responsibility-filled job where you make a concrete difference in a boy's everyday life.
  • A working week of 27 hours. There may potentially be an opportunity for full-time depending on your qualifications and the tasks.
  • A weekday at Munkevængets School, where you follow a boy in 3rd grade and support him through the school day.
  • An important role in creating security, structure and good framework so that the boy has the best opportunities to participate in the school's everyday life.
  • A task that includes, among other things, welcoming the boy when he arrives by taxi in the morning, and accompanying him back to the taxi after the school day.
  • Opportunity to become part of a collaboration with the school's other staff around the boy's well-being and needs.

The boy has several health challenges, including diabetes, and therefore needs an adult who can support him during the school day and help with the tasks his situation requires.

Responsibilities

  • To follow and support a boy in 2nd grade at Munkevængets School throughout the school day.
  • To receive the boy when the taxi arrives in the morning and accompany him to the taxi after the end of the school day.
  • To help and support the boy in practical tasks and situations that arise during the school day.
  • To be attentive to the boy's health needs, including diabetes, and follow the agreed guidelines for his care and support.
  • To contribute to a safe, predictable and good school day, where the boy has the opportunity to participate in the school's activities and communities.
  • To collaborate with the school's other staff and relevant partners on the boy's well-being and needs.

Qualifications

  • You are educated as a Social and Health Assistant or Social and Health Helper – preferably with experience in care and support.
  • You preferably have experience with children or with supporting people with health challenges.
  • You are responsible, compassionate and good at creating safety around you.
  • You can stay calm and act appropriately, even when situations arise that require extra attention.
  • You are attentive to the child's needs and can support him with respect for his independence and dignity.
  • You are prepared to learn the necessary procedures related to the boy's diabetes and other health needs.
  • You can collaborate with the school's staff and communicate clearly with relevant partners.
  • You are stable, flexible and approach the child with presence, patience and a positive mindset.

We also welcome applications from you if you have another relevant health or pedagogical background and believe you have the right qualifications for the role.

Who are we?

At Munkevængets School we walk together on the path of lifelong learning.

We are an ambitious and development-oriented school with around 390 students and 60 staff.

We work every day to create a school where there is room for diversity, and where the children feel that they belong.

Our shared values are

Responsibility · Professionalism · Care · Engagement · Respect

The school includes both general classes, a special center for dyslexic students, talent education and reception classes. It provides a daily life with many different perspectives, academic challenges and opportunities to make a difference.
