Job description

Are you crazy about your studies and passionate about teaching others? Would you like to improve your communication skills?

AAU on Demand is Aalborg University’s corps of students who go out to high schools and take over teaching, and we are currently seeking new student instructors in Aalborg!

What you get

Tasks

• Classroom teaching: You will teach high school classes in a presentation you have developed yourself, on a topic you have chosen, based on your field of study.
• It is expected that you sign up for at least 2 assignments/visits per semester
• Representative of AAU and of your study.
• In addition we will continually be able to offer tasks related to events such as Open House, Study Practice and Studieinfo.nu

Mandatory workshop on 12 November 2026 (8.30-19.30)

You must participate in an onboarding workshop as part of your employment. At the workshop you will be equipped for the job. You will learn how to create a good and engaging lesson, develop your own teaching presentation, and gain concrete tools so you and the students have a good teaching day.

You will be paid for participation in the workshop.

Qualifications

• You are enrolled in a bachelor’s program at AAU in Aalborg
• You are academically strong
• You are responsible, independent and good at collaborating
• You have an interest in communicating and teaching others
• It is required that you can teach in Danish, but also preferably in English
• You have the capacity and are willing to sign up for all visits as much as possible
• You are open to challenges and ready to dive into new and unfamiliar situations
• You must be able to attend our onboarding workshop for the whole day

Employment

This is not a typical student job, and therefore the number of hours is highly variable. Thus it is not possible to set a fixed number of hours per month, as it depends on how many visits/events you sign up for and whether the high schools choose your presentation.

Remuneration

You will be employed and paid as a student study advisor.

Salary and terms of employment

You are employed and paid according to the circular on the collective agreement for student instructors at universities, etc. The employment is conditional on you being a student.
