Active afternoons with a happy 7-year-old boy

Are you keen to create good afternoons with movement, play and trips in nature? We are looking for someone who can take the initiative for activities and at the same time create structure and predictability.

About the task

You will spend three hours per week with a happy and energetic boy aged 7. He has ADHD and loves being active. He enjoys playing ball, jumping on a trampoline, and going on trips in nature. He is also fond of creative activities such as drawing and working with wood, and occasionally he enjoys reading.

The boy needs support to maintain attention and create an overview. It helps him when he is prepared for what will happen, and when activities take place within clear and predictable frameworks.

Your task is to take the initiative and invite him to participate in activities outside the home. For example you can go for a walk in the forest, play tag, visit the library or the swimming pool. It is important that you can motivate him in a calm way, especially on days when he needs a little help to get going.

About you

You do not need a specific education, but it is an advantage if you have experience with children and some knowledge of ADHD.

You are patient and give the relationship time to develop, as the boy can be a little reserved at the start. At the same time you take the initiative and want to be active with him. You can create clear frames and prepare him for activities, so the time together becomes safe and manageable.

Working hours

The position is 3 hours per week.

The working hours are on a weekday from 14:00–17:00. The family prefers Thursday but is flexible with other weekdays. Tuesday is not an option.

Outside office hours there is always a staffed on-call phone, so you are never alone. Salary and pension in accordance with the National Agreement between FOA and Dansk Erhverv. You are covered by DUOS’ liability and work injury insurance and health insurance is part of your pension scheme.
