DISABILITY HELPER WANTED (M/F 30+)

Does the idea of a meaningful job where you actually make a difference appeal to you?

I am seeking a disability helper for 4 fixed shifts per month PLUS extra shifts in case of illness, vacation, etc. These are 24-hour shifts from 09:00-09:00 on both weekends and weekdays.

You will join a fixed rolling schedule where you know your (planned) shifts far in advance. Start on 27/11, but training beforehand - and probably possibility of a few shifts earlier.

Being a helper is a demanding job built on trust and mutual respect. For me it is not important to have a long CV or experience in similar roles; quite the opposite. Here, chemistry, stability, flexibility, and the ability to be a true team player with a big T and a good colleague are crucial.

I am 45 years old and live in a lovely townhouse on the outskirts of Vejle.

At age 2 I was diagnosed with muscular dystrophy and placed in an electric wheelchair. That is the reason I rely on aides to be able to live my life and make everyday life run smoothly.

My daily life is wide and varied. I am politically active and also involved in a lot of voluntary work for, among others, Jelling Music Festival and the Human Library. And when I’m not on the go, attending meetings, etc., I spend time with my partner in Juelsminde.

The person I am seeking is a man or woman 30+ who has themselves and life under control. You are an outgoing non-smoker (or at least a moderate smoker), who is fond of animals, dares to call a spade a spade, is extremely stable, has humor, is accommodating and a capable driver.

The tasks range widely, including assistance with personal hygiene, accompaniment outside the home, cleaning, and other household duties such as shopping and cooking, etc.

One must be able to navigate a everyday life with humor and love. A life where my partner and I can have room just to be us, but also a life with lots of wonderful moments; where we eat, relax and go out together.
