Actuary with an eye for efficient processes

Then you have the chance now, as we are seeking an actuary for Software and Modelling in Actuarial and Products, where you will be central to the development and streamlining of operating processes across Actuarial and Products, among other things via software solutions as well as in the further development and maintenance of provisioning and pricing models in the SUL area.

About the job

You will become part of Actuarial and Products and take on the role of actuary in the Software and Modelling department. The department has an environment with a high level of expertise and a customer value focus. The department, with nine full-time employees and two student assistants, consists mainly of actuaries and has three main areas of responsibility:

• Development and maintenance of actuarial software for provisions, pricing and profitability calculations
• Modelling of SUL products for provisions, pricing and other business insights and support, as well as ongoing operation of these models
• Development and operation of the SUL data foundation for modelling, reporting and provisions

Your focus will be on operating processes both inside and outside the department and on the further development of various actuarial models and software solutions. This will be done in collaboration with your colleagues, where you in some cases will run the operations and in other cases drive the development of better and more efficient operating processes and models. The headings for your tasks will be efficiency and quality assurance.

Your tasks will include, among others

• Further development and maintenance of the department’s actuarial software solutions to streamline operations
• Further development and maintenance of provisioning models and risk parameters for SUL products
• Profitability analyses and cost-pricing modelling for SUL products
• Calculation of provisions and ongoing analyses of claims development and reporting thereof to various stakeholders
• Work with Solvency II as part of the actuarial function
• Ad-hoc analyses of SUL data

Your profile

We imagine that you

• Have an educational background as cand.act. or similar
• Are interested in working with operating processes and in making them more efficient
• Have strong analytical skills
• Are able to work independently and in close collaboration with your colleagues

In addition, you may identify with some of the following points

• Have experience with software development in .NET
• Have experience working with SQL, Python or R
• Have experience with TAE modelling or other actuarial modelling
