About the job

Would you be a central part of a well-functioning social area, where you support both citizens, employees and management through strong administrative competencies?

Then maybe you are the one we are looking for as an administrative employee for Area Ørum.

About us

Area Ørum is part of the Social Area in Norddjurs Municipality and consists of three 24-hour care facilities, two communal living arrangements, as well as an activity and social interaction offer for adult citizens with developmental disabilities and various specialized support needs.

As an administrative employee you will be a central part of the area and have a broad contact surface across all services. You will be part of the area’s administrative office, where you work together with the area’s work-time planner.

At the same time you will be part of a professional community with the administrative staff from the other Social Area areas, where sparring, knowledge sharing and development of joint solutions are a natural part of the job.

About the position

As an administrative employee in Area Ørum you will be a central key person in the organization. You support daily operations across the area’s offerings and work closely with management, employees and other key functions.

The position spans broadly, but the largest and most central task is the ongoing support of the area’s finances. You will have a significant role in budgeting, budget follow-up and financial management, where you contribute to creating overview and ensuring a solid basis for management decisions.

We are therefore looking for an employee who both has flair for numbers and financial contexts, but who also thrives with the many other administrative tasks and relationships that come with the job.

Your main tasks

Finance, budgeting and follow-up

The financial area will constitute a substantial part of the position, and your tasks will include, among others:

  • Preparation and follow-up on expected accounts
  • Budget follow-up and financial overview across the area
  • Preparation of budget follow-up reports to management
  • Collection of rent and service packages
  • Bank reconciliations
  • Payment of invoices and bookkeeping
  • Invoicing to citizens, partners and external actors
  • Ongoing financial adjustments and control tasks

You will become an important sparring partner for the area’s management regarding finance and resource use and contribute to the area having a solid financial basis to solve the core task.

We are looking for a colleague who

  • Has experience with financial and budget follow-up, preferably from a public organization
  • Works independently, systematically and has an eye for detail
  • Can translate data and finance into usable overviews and decision bases
  • Is proactive and takes responsibility for their tasks
  • Wants to be an active and involved part of the working community in Area Ørum
  • Contributes positively to collaboration, development and the joint solution of the core task
  • Thrives in a daily life where both operations tasks, development tasks and human relations fill

Who are you?

We imagine that you are an administrative employee who is motivated by creating structure, overview and coherence. You are interested in the reality that administration supports, and you see yourself as more than a support function.

You want to engage in the area, get to know staff and citizens, and be a visible collaboration partner who contributes to the community and the continued development of Area Ørum.

Application deadline 22 November 2026

Interviews expected: 26-27 November 2026

Employment: 1 January 2027
