About the job

We are looking for you who want to make a difference for our patients at night.

In the Department of Palliative Care we have a very exciting specialty for both the experienced and the newly trained nurse who seek professional and personal challenges and wish to work based on tailored, assigned patient care with a focus on the patient and their relatives.

Therefore we are looking for you who going forward want to work with our patients who need palliative care.

We have 10 specialized palliative bed spaces.

We work every other weekend and in mixed shifts either day/evening or day/night. We strive to be able to work every 3rd weekend, but we cannot promise that we will succeed.

We are an engaged group of colleagues who value trust, presence and good collaboration as well as a good learning environment. Personal and professional development is in focus, and competences are developed in interaction with each other.

You will undergo our basic palliative education which lasts 16 days within the first couple of years of your employment.

We offer you

  • Possibility for professional and personal development within the specialty – for both the experienced and newly educated nurse, and we work targeted with onboarding, which ensures an individual introduction and training program with an onboarding nurse, mentor and buddy.
  • Close collaboration with our clinical nursing specialist, research unit, outpatient clinic, secretariat and radiotherapy
  • An engaged and listening leadership group that values and strives for an optimal working environment
  • Influence over your own shift schedule

We want our future colleague

  • To have a positive outlook on life
  • To want to make a difference for the individual patient
  • To want to collaborate with colleagues who are passionate about their profession
  • Whether you are newly educated or an experienced nurse, you will be very welcome in our department

We place emphasis on interest and willingness to learn and hope you will apply, whether you are newly educated or an experienced nurse.

If you want to know more about the position, you are welcome to visit the department or contact Chief Nurse Susanne Johansen, 56 51 31 24, [email protected] .
