Head of Department for the Visitation Unit in Glostrup Municipality

In Glostrup Municipality, we are seeking a department head for the Visitation Unit, who is passionate about people, relations and developing a strong professional community.

As department head you will have personnel responsibility for an engaged team of visitators, a group leader, discharge coordinators and administrative staff. Your main task will be to create direction, coherence and well-being, so that the employees can succeed in their mandate for the benefit of the citizens.

About the position

The Visitation Unit is a central partner across the elderly care sector. We work closely with home care, nursing, training, the assistive device area and other partners around the citizens' pathways.

As department head you shall

• Be a visible and approachable leader for the staff.

• Ensure transparent processes and create clarity around decisions.
• Ensure open dialogue where different perspectives are heard.
• Support cross-disciplinary and cross-organizational collaboration – including with other centers in the municipality.
• Handle personnel matters professionally and respectfully.
• Contribute to the ongoing development of the Visitation Unit

• Have experience from the authority area and understanding of the frameworks and conditions that apply in the field.
• Have insight into municipal operations and public administration.
• Can translate strategic goals into meaningful practice for staff.
• Focus on quality, collaboration and good citizen pathways.
• See the value in interdisciplinary collaboration and actively work to build strong relationships across the organization.
• Do not necessarily come with a specific educational background, but can document relevant experience and leadership competence.
• Have a solid grasp of the laws within the Servicelov and Ældrelov
