Agroforestry Manager for Grove Farm Management

At Grove Farm Management we build for the farming of the future. We establish and operate production systems with trees and shrubs. We are experiencing strong growth and are looking for an operational, professional and proactive person who can take responsibility for planting and operation in Central Jutland and Southern Jutland.

Role

You will be responsible for planning and establishing plantings with trees and shrubs on our own sites and with customers. In addition, you will be responsible for the operation of our own forest farming on 50 ha as well as ongoing operating tasks for our customers and partners.

Your areas of responsibility

• Establishment: Lead planning and establishment of forest farming across our locations.
• Operations: Operation and care of areas with trees. Upkeep of plantings, pruning, fertilization. We operate all our areas organically.
• Harvest : Harvest of nuts, berries, fruit, productive trees, biomass.
• Plant nursery: Assist in the operation of our plant nursery – from procuring seed material and cuttings to grafting and preparation of sale-ready trees.
• Plant health & Maintenance: Ensure systematic pruning, weed management and harvest optimization so that our yield matches our commercial contracts.
• Development and innovation: Work closely with our development team on development and innovation within forest farming. We continually push the boundaries of commercial forest farming and run field trials on our commercial sites and participate in research projects.
• Guided tours : Facilitate facility tours and field walks for diverse groups (agriculture schools, municipalities, companies, ERFA, ).

About you

• You have a strong professional background (forest and landscape engineer, agronomist, production horticulturist, soil-technology or similar).
• You thrive in a multidisciplinary environment where head and hands must work together. You can plan a planting in the morning and sit on the tractor or prune trees in the afternoon.
• You have machine experience and are used to handling the controls of larger machines.
• Ideally you live around Kolding, Vejle or Skanderborg, as that is where we have the most activities.
