About the job

We are looking for the right employees for the team at Aktivitetshuset Ringkøbing and Aktivcentret Hvide Sande.

About us

The activity area under Health and Care consists of five activity centers for citizens over 60 years old, early retirees and flex workers in Ringkøbing-Skjern Municipality.

The two positions are attached to the team at Aktivitetshuset Ringkøbing and Aktivcentret Hvide Sande. As an employee you will become part of everyday life in both houses, where your duties range from work in the open services and collaboration with volunteers to work with citizens in the day care home.

The open offers and the local area.

In the activity centers’ open offers you work with volunteers to create the framework for an active and meaningful everyday life with community and social relationships. You help to support and acknowledge the volunteers in their efforts, while also spotting members’ interests and helping new volunteers into the community. The close relationships in the house also provide good opportunities to detect early signs of loneliness or illness.

You will become part of two developing activity centers with collaboration interfaces in the local area. We work with Local Sustainability and collaborate closely with local actors. We expect you to work innovatively, contribute with creative ideas and participate in developing new possibilities and you can take part in smaller projects.

Day care home – a central part of the task

A central part of your assignment will take place in the day care home at Aktivitetshuset Ringkøbing, where you will enter into close, professional relationships with citizens who, for shorter or longer periods, need support in daily life – either due to reduced physical or mental function, social challenges or because their relatives need respite. We work from the contact person principle, where you as a contact person have a special responsibility to ensure continuity, well-being and coherence in the individual citizen’s course

You plan and implement group activities based on the citizens’ needs, interests and resources. At the same time you support and assist the citizens with daily needs, for example in connection with toilet visits. With your professionalism you motivate and engage the citizens so they participate actively and experience meaning in daily life.

You are present and calm in company – even when the house is buzzing with activity around you.

The tasks also include practical and administrative duties, including record-keeping and documentation of citizen journeys in Nexus.

Qualifications

  • You have a health or social care education and are passionate about making a difference.
  • You work rehabilitatively, health-promoting and preventive.
  • You are present, tolerant and good at building relationships.
  • You can plan, adapt and evaluate activities based on the citizens’ needs and resources.
  • You work independently, take responsibility and contribute actively to good collaboration.
  • You are flexible, have a can-do attitude and thrive in a day with different tasks.
  • You can keep an overview and prioritize time and resources.
  • You have a flair for IT and are prepared to work with documentation.

We offer

  • A varied job in an environment with many people and varied tasks, where no day is exactly alike.
  • An exciting working environment with focus on professional quality and development.
  • Good colleagues who value cooperation and well-being highly. There is an opportunity for professional sparring and strong collaboration that supports development and knowledge sharing.
  • You get a great deal of influence over your working day and your tasks.
  • Stable working hours distributed across the five weekdays with tasks in both centers.

Is it for you?

We are looking for you who thrive with many different tasks, have a can-do attitude and at the same time manage to maintain an overview and calm in a busy daily life with lots of activity.
