Allerød residential facility seeks competent social educators for Skovbo

We are seeking trained social educators or social- and health care assistants.

The working hours for the position are rotating between day and evening shifts, with work every third weekend - and

on holidays.

The positions are initially full-time, but we are open to other preferences. Start as soon as possible or no later than January 1, 2027 (we hold ongoing recruitment interviews).

About us

Allerød Residential Care Facility is an organization consisting of 4 residential facilities; Skovbo, Solvænget, Skovmosen and Frederiksborgvej. Skovbo is located centrally in Allerød, a 5-10 minute walk from the station. The residential facility is established under the Danish Housing Act §105, and support is provided under the Social Services Act §85, which concerns social-pedagogical support.

The target group is adults aged between 18 and 63 years, who are primarily challenged by intellectual disability and ASD. Some also have physical disabilities. Most residents need guidance or practical help with personal care and ADL tasks.

We work within a structured framework, where we work purposefully and in a person-centered, with an appreciative and relationship-based pedagogical approach as well as Low Arousal. We are a workplace where ICT is valued highly, which means there is a focus on different communication/structural aids, such as GoTalk Now, MemoAssist etc. We work with the health module, and the 12 nursing-related problem areas as well as VUM2.

We have a strong focus on good collaboration - and the working environment in the house, and generally work from the value of having a high social capital in daily life. We see differences as a strength, both when it comes to competencies and personality profiles.

The citizens' participation and influence is an integrated part of everyday life, and there is therefore a focus on citizens being actively involved in their own lives based on their own abilities and competences. We work to motivate and invite the citizen into the community. Sometimes the citizens’ participation sits at one end of the scale and caregiving duties at the other end. By using our professional skills, we pedagogically balance these considerations with the citizen's development at the center.

About the position

You will be part of the inter-disciplinary team at Skovbo with pedagogical staff, health professionals, fixed night shifts, social care students, health coordinator, pedagogical coordinator, duty planner and a department head. At the residential facilities we are a unified team, each with a number of citizens we are contact persons for, balanced with shared activities and cross-cutting tasks. We place great emphasis on good collaboration with relatives.

At the same time you will become part of the entire Allerød Residential Care Facility organization in Allerød Municipality.
