About the job

We are looking for an Area Dispatcher for Køge/Ringsted as well as a maternity-leave replacement.

Are you trained as a patient transport attendant, and do you want to become a part of Ambulance Zealand? Then we have a position for you!

Prehospital Centre has since February 1, 2024 brought back parts of the ambulance service in Region Zealand, and we continue to strengthen our skilled team of employees. We are now seeking engaged patient transport attendants who want to help ensure a safe and efficient transport for our patients – perhaps you are the one we are looking for!

We are seeking an employee who meets other people with empathy, patience and understanding. You have the ability to put yourself in others' shoes and create safe surroundings, even in situations where there may be challenges. At the same time you bring your creativity into play by finding solutions, thinking flexibly and seeing opportunities where others see limitations.

As a patient transport attendant with us you get a unique opportunity to work with transport of people with mobility impairments, as well as frail and ill patients who need lying transport.

We are looking for you who would like to drive as Area Dispatchers in Køge/Ringsted in mixed shifts D/A/N.

And you who would like to be employed in a maternity-leave replacement D/A.

In the job as a patient transport attendant your role is versatile. You are responsible for safe transfer and comfortable transportation of patients, while at the same time creating a safe and welcoming atmosphere for everyone you meet. You will handle personal assistive devices and assist patients in acute situations such as illness or accidents. Your ability to use radio communication and assess when additional assistance is necessary will be crucial to ensuring patients' safety and well-being.

What do we expect?

You must have completed the course in non-treatment-bearing lying patient transport.

It is a requirement that you have a large driving license (C1) before employment, which can be taken on the evening shift.

Experience as ambulance staff, porter, social and health assistant or similar is an advantage, but not a requirement.

Køge Ambulance Base – The Region's Largest

At the inauguration in 2025, the new 1,400 m² ambulance base in Køge was described as the largest in Region Zealand. The base houses a total of 81 employees, including:

24 employees assigned to patient transport.

Efficient teams (day shift and evening shift).

Coverage of Hårlev and Hvalsø.

Two 24-hour shifts.

Thus Køge is both a large and professionally strong base with many functions gathered in one place – and with close collaboration across shift types and competencies. We constantly strive to maintain a good working environment and well-being, which is a collective effort from everyone.

The area is led by Michael Krobæk and Tabita Grønvold, who look forward to – in collaboration with you and your colleagues – driving Ambulance Zealand towards an exciting future. If you thrive in a dynamic and sometimes busy daily life, where innovation, job satisfaction and close dialogue with management are in focus, we look forward to receiving your application and hearing how you can contribute to our team.

Why choose Ambulance Zealand? We offer you more than just a job. With us you get the opportunity to help shape a workplace where:

Inclusion is a given.

We do our best to accommodate your wishes for time off when necessary. You will work with a management team that is committed to being approachable and good leaders. We offer ongoing further education in collaboration with other regions and private providers. We prioritize a balance between work life and private life.

With us it is a partnership, where both we and you set requirements. We expect you to want to contribute to the development of Ambulance Zealand, and to be ready to challenge the status quo so that we can together create a dynamic and future-proof workplace.

Does that sound like something for you? Then we look forward to receiving your application and hearing how you can contribute to our team.

You will be employed as a Patient Transport Attendant, and the employment is in accordance with the current FOA agreement 32.44.1.

Applications will be invited on 18/11-26.

Night work

As the position may involve night work, you will be offered a free health check before starting in accordance with current regulations.

If you wish to take advantage of the offer, please contact your future supervisor, who will assist in initiating and coordinating the process.
