About the job

General information

Do you want to steer the direction of JN Data's API domain and bring together business, customers and specialists around common architectural decisions?

The position

As API Domain Architect you ensure alignment between business needs, integration solutions and the overall architectural direction. You define standards, principles and a roadmap for the area and ensure that the solutions support JN Data's long-term strategy.

An important part of the role is the relationship-building and facilitation dimension. You work across the organization and foster collaboration between business, customers, architects and technical specialists. Success in the role largely depends on your ability to build relationships, gain support for shared solutions and drive change through dialogue, collaboration and professional influence.

Your primary responsibilities

  • Develop and anchor the strategy, roadmap and governance for the API domain
  • Drive standardization and best practices within API design, governance and security
  • Facilitate workshops, architecture forums and strategic discussions
  • Be a sparring partner for leadership, customers and technical stakeholders
  • Prepare decision briefs, solution proposals and recommendations to management and present architectural choices and strategic initiatives to stakeholders
  • Contribute to the development of Event Management, Monitoring, Observability and AI Ops capabilities in collaboration with other specialists and architects in the department
  • Contribute to designing API services with a focus on monitoring, traceability and operational insight, so services can be monitored and supported effectively in operation

The department

The task is cross-organizational, but you will be based in the Platform Operation department and become part of the Event Team. You will engage in close collaboration with business areas, architecture communities, platform teams and customers, thereby taking a central role in developing JN Data's API landscape.

You

We envision that you

  • Have a minimum of five years of experience as API Architect, Integration Architect or equivalent architecture role, preferably from a complex IT organization
  • Have in-depth knowledge of API design, API lifecycle management, governance and security
  • Can translate business needs into scalable and long-term architectural solutions
  • Thrive in providing direction and building good collaborative relationships across both business and technology
  • Can facilitate workshops, architecture forums and decision processes
  • Can prepare briefs, recommendations and decision material for management and customers and present complex issues to stakeholders in a clear and structured manner
  • Proficient in Danish and English, written and spoken

We are curious to hear

  • How you have worked to define strategy, governance or standards for the API and integration domain
  • How you have created support and a common direction among stakeholders with different needs and perspectives
  • How you ensure that architectural decisions support both business, governance and operations

We offer

As an employee at JN Data you are guaranteed some good employment terms. We offer, among other things, a good pension scheme, 6th vacation week, 5 care days, enhanced holiday allowance, group life insurance, health insurance, dental insurance and full pay during maternity/paternity leave.

You will become part of a professional, but informal working environment, with a strong focus on employee well-being and development. We offer flexible working hours and the possibility of remote work.
