About our target group

The residents at Bøge allé 3 have a permanently reduced mental functioning, as well as developmental disorders. Currently there are 6 residents in the department, and they are between 8 and 18 years old. The residents have low cognition and communication is therefore supported with visual communication and a clear and recognizable structure and pedagogical approach.

Residents sometimes exhibit outward/self-harming behavior when challenged in their mental balance, and therefore several of our residents are covered 1:1.

In your onboarding you will have a structured introduction process with a thorough training plan. Together with your colleagues you will be introduced to the individual residents, our professional approach and the department's daily practice, so you get the best conditions to start well and feel secure in the role.

In daily life you will work from an appreciative and very structured pedagogical approach, where you see the whole person behind the otherwise reduced function. Therefore it is also important that you can work in a structured way and follow the agreements, action and development plans laid for each resident.

Employment

The employment will be 37 hours per week, unless otherwise requested. You can expect that weekdays will mainly consist of evening shifts, and you can expect to work every other weekend, where the shifts are distributed between day and evening shifts.

The Special Center is a specialized children and youth home primarily for children and young people aged 0-18 years. Our residents have significantly reduced physical and/or mental functioning.

Pay and employment terms are determined in accordance with the applicable collective agreement, including the current provisions on local wage formation.
