About the job
We are looking for 2 service-oriented social workers for Job and Sickness Absence in Jobcenter Ringkøbing-Skjern for permanent positions.
Do you want a job where professionalism, relationships and employment go hand in hand? And are you motivated by helping people move forward after or during a sickness absence?
So perhaps you are the one we are looking for.
We are seeking two social workers who want to become part of Job and Sickness Absence – a department with high professional standards, good humor and ambitions to continually improve.
You help people move forward
Our most important task is to help sick-listed citizens back to work as smoothly and as quickly as possible – either at their current workplace or onward to new opportunities.
As an advisor you will be responsible for your own cases and work closely with the citizen to find the right path. You must be able to see possibilities, ask the right questions and together with the citizen find the intervention that makes sense here and now.
We work from an appreciative approach and believe that all people have resources and something to contribute .
Companies are an important part of the solution
The primary focus of our work is to support citizens’ attachment to the labor market.
Therefore we have a strong focus on the business-oriented effort. You will among other things collaborate with citizens, employers, professional organizations and treating professionals about the possibilities of retaining or returning to work.
It also means that you will get out of the office and participate in, for example, roundtable meetings and meetings at companies.
You will become part of a strong professional community
In Job and Sickness Absence we are about 20 employees distributed across four smaller teams. In addition, we have our Retention Team, Long-Term Sick Team and Competence Center .
We emphasize that we can both work independently and be part of a team . We actively use each other for sparring, professional reflections and the development of our practice.
You will have access to weekly sparring in the Professional Community and ongoing sparring with our two professional coordinators, who are close to the day-to-day task resolution.
We have an informal tone, help each other and believe that it should be both professionally exciting and pleasant to go to work .
At the same time, we see ourselves as one department and one municipality. Therefore we collaborate across teams and departments when it leads to better solutions for citizens.
We are curious about new ways of doing things
The employment area is changing, and so are we.
We therefore do not expect you to have all the answers. Instead, we expect you to be curious, professionally engaged and eager to develop both yourself and our way of solving the task.
We use digital meetings where it makes sense, and operate as a hybrid workplace with the possibility of home office days.
We imagine that you
- are educated social worker or social mediator
- have knowledge of sick pay (sygedagpengeloven) – or are eager and brave to learn the area thoroughly
- prefer to have knowledge of the Act on Active Social Policy and the Act on an Active Employment Initiative
- work in a structured, systematic way and can create overview – even when there are several balls in the air
- meet citizens and collaborators with an appreciative and inclusive approach
- are strong in both oral and written communication
- can work independently and at the same time actively contribute to the team's shared task resolution
- are curious about how we can do things even better
- have a driving license, as part of the work takes place at companies
- have a flair for IT – knowledge of Fasit is an advantage
- contribute with good energy, humor and a positive spirit
With us you get
- a flexible workplace with the opportunity to influence the planning of your working life
- professional development
- weekly sparring in the Professional Community
- close sparring with professional coordinators
- a hybrid workplace with the possibility of home office days up to two days a week after the first three months
- good colleagues and an informal tone
- canteen arrangement
- opportunity to help develop our efforts at a time when the employment area is changing

The positions are 37 hours per week, but the working hours can be arranged according to preference between 30 and 37 hours.
We want the positions filled as soon as possible, no later than January 1, 2027.
