About the job
Do you want to help strengthen and develop the occupational safety environment and environmental work for 500 colleagues in an exciting operations organization that works around the clock to ensure a well-functioning city?
Are you passionate about preventive occupational safety work, reducing sickness absence, and organizational development? Can you drive cross-cutting involvement processes, and do you have a flair for advisory work, strategic development, and communication? Do you have experience with occupational safety or environmental work from other larger operations organizations? Then you may be our next occupational safety coordinator.
About the job and your responsibilities
As an occupational safety coordinator you will be responsible for supporting the safety work in Bynatur og Renhold with equal parts advisory, development, and organizational wear. You will need to move between strategic and operational tasks, where you both find job satisfaction in initiating and completing tasks.
Your main tasks will, among other things, be in collaboration with your colleagues to
- drive the occupational safety organization so that the link between decisions at the MED level and the close occupational safety work is strong, meaningful, and effective
- prepare decision proposals to the management team, MED and the occupational safety organization on occupational safety conditions
- plan and drive larger cross-cutting involvement processes as follow-up on wellbeing surveys, formulation of APV action plans etc.
- advise the units’ occupational safety leaders and safety representatives
- handle ongoing cases, e.g., in relation to the Danish Working Environment Authority, where you are responsible for case processing in close collaboration with the responsible occupational safety leader
- support prevention of sickness absence
- follow up on work accidents with focus on preventive measures and action plans
- drive environmental work – including internal and external audits, space reviews, inspections and ongoing controls
- communication of important knowledge, frameworks and rules in the occupational safety field at eye level and without finger-waving
- ensure maintenance and updating of pages about occupational safety and environmental work on the intranet.
You will become part of the management secretariat in Bynatur og Renhold with reference to the secretary-general. Here you will join 20 capable colleagues who solve many different tasks within political support, leadership support, strategy, organizational development, internal communication and not least facilitation of the MED and occupational safety organization. Here you will be part of a close working community on organizational development, occupational safety coordination, systematic follow-up on sickness absence, competence development, facilitation and leadership support.
About you
As a person you are energetic and persistent. You have a strong presence and can build trusting relationships at all levels of the organization.
We anticipate that you have an academic education or the like and at least 2-3 years of prior experience with strategic occupational safety work in a large operations organization, where you have learned to navigate between many opposing interests. It would also be an advantage if you have experience in leading larger cross-cutting change projects.
We also place emphasis on the fact that you
- are innovative and solution-oriented
- are quick to acquire new knowledge
- thrive with a broad task portfolio
- have good communication skills and can explain complex rules and issues at eye level
- have a structured approach to task solving
- have a digital mindset
- approach the task with good humor.
