Would you like to help give our students the best school day and ensure them good participation opportunities in the early years? The teaching package is mathematics and physical education - you may also have experience teaching cultural subjects, science or other subjects.

Welcome to Bjergmarkskolen in Holbæk

We are a large and diverse school in Holbæk Town with lots of children and opportunities. We have about 800 pupils from 0th to 9th grade, including our learning and contact classes. We also have large outdoor areas with several playing fields, a forest and play areas. The students are divided into smaller houses with two year groups in each.

That is why we need you

You are excellent at classroom management, parent collaboration and building good relationships, because the classroom dynamic is the most important for learning and well-being.

We are looking for a strong collaborative partner and team player who values cooperation and shared responsibility around a year group.

In addition you have the following competencies

• You are a trained teacher (this is actually a requirement)
• You also believe that close professional collaboration and sharing knowledge provides the best teaching
• You have a genuine interest in your students as people—and you can meet them resourcefully where they are in their development and needs.
• You are a good classroom leader who will create participation opportunities for all children

Experience a professional community focused on the students' learning

You will be part of a year group team with teachers and pedagogues who will be your closest colleagues.

In the year group team you will have weekly meetings where you coordinate, consult and collaborate about teaching and your shared year group. You will also benefit from the close collaboration in the common preparation for teaching, for which time is set aside. Since we accommodate students with many different needs, there is a need for differentiated teaching, just as close parental cooperation will also occupy a large part of your daily life.

You will receive a mentor from one of your experienced colleagues, so you always have a go-to person. You will also participate in subject committees, which help create a professional community across grade levels.

"One of the things I also really value is that there is always help available from our educational counselors. We have, among others, motor skills, mathematics, science e-learning, Danish or reading counselors. Always room for ideas and development

Breakfast café for students and the chess patrol are just some of the initiatives our staff have started. Maybe you have a good idea as well? There is room to try new approaches. We were recently certified UNICEF Rights School, which means that we work with the UN Convention on the Rights of the Child and children’s rights in the school’s everyday life, culture and learning environment.
