Architect with good humor and a flair for interior design for the community sought for maternity cover in the internal design studio, Roskilde Municipality - Construction and Properties.

Roskilde Municipality, Construction and Property is seeking an architect for a one-year parental leave replacement in the City Hall's internal studio, with start on 1 January 2027 or as soon as possible thereafter.

The case: The studio is in the process of renovating Roskilde City Hall to implement an activity-based layout. As the renovation is carried out, employees move into their new areas – and for this, we need your help to act as the lead in developing and implementing all sub-tasks related to the interior design and the relocation. Your work is a continuation of an ongoing implementation of an activity-based layout in the city hall as well as architectural supervision tasks in connection with the construction projects. There is a focus in the renovation on direct reuse of materials and furniture.

The team: You will become the architectural professional part of a small well-functioning multidisciplinary team that works closely together. Other members of the team handle construction management, BIM models, engineering disciplines, data collection, law and finance. Together we plan ahead for upcoming stages while we execute the current stage.

The task: Your primary duties will be to complete the final interior design and commissioning in accordance with the master plan, exercise architectural judgment, and adjust room drawings and furniture drawings - in dialogue with the team, the users and in line with the design manual.

You will be responsible for enforcing the design concept and the throughline of the interior. The overview of interior principles becomes especially important when one must make decisions on the spot, e.g. for construction meetings or user meetings, or to make the best use of existing furnishings.

About you

You are an architect. You are positive, engaged, imaginative, solution-oriented, and practically minded. You have an aesthetic sense, a spatial understanding, experience in office interiors. You are an experienced user of Revit and the Adobe suite, primarily Illustrator and very happy to also have experience with Dalux. It is advantageous if you have also contributed to design as well as supervision, and have experience with furniture ordering and supplier contact.

You enjoy working on renovation tasks, design tasks, and related logistical tasks. You thrive on collaboration and are eager to devote energy to dialogue with the team and the building's users, so we together create good and well-functioning everyday environments.
