Company description

With more than 8,000 employees, Deloitte is one of the largest consulting and audit firms in the Nordic region. We help our clients navigate complex technological and business transformations by combining deep technical knowledge with leading capabilities in audit, tax, advisory, and consulting services.

In Assurance Offerings we work together with our clients’ finance departments on accounting, reporting and day-to-day financial management. When capacity challenges arise, or there is a need to strengthen reporting and controls, we join the task together with the client’s staff. We contribute with experience and take responsibility for ensuring the work is completed.

With us you become part of an open and inclusive work environment where collaboration and knowledge sharing are at the forefront. You will have colleagues with experience from finance functions, audit and advisory, who share knowledge and brainstorm on the professional challenges we encounter with customers.

Job description

As an Assistant Manager or Manager in CFO Services, you help companies ensure stable operations and develop their finance function. Your tasks range from interim roles, where you step in due to capacity challenges or vacant key positions, to defined CFO Service tasks within process optimization, system implementation and accounting advisory.

You quickly familiarise yourself with the client’s organization, create an overview of processes and priorities and take responsibility for the deliverables that are central to the task. It could be month-end and year-end close, controlling and management reporting, or improving processes and internal controls.

You work closely with the client’s CFO, financial management and other key stakeholders. You have the opportunity to lead project teams and contribute to the development of less experienced colleagues through professional sparring and feedback. As a coach you also spar with your less experienced colleagues about their professional development and career development.

Make your mark on tasks such as

  • Taking responsibility for critical deliverables in the finance function, including month-end and year-end close, accounting, controlling and management reporting.
  • Creating an overview, prioritizing efforts and coordinating work with the client’s finance team and other stakeholders.
  • Acting as a sparring partner for CFOs, finance management and other key stakeholders on financial issues and improvement initiatives.
  • Strengthening processes, controls and audit readiness through well-documented reconciliations, clear workflows and collaboration with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Identifying and implementing improvements to closing and reporting processes with a focus on efficiency, quality and timeliness.
  • Ensuring handover and anchoring of processes, knowledge and responsibilities in the client’s organization.
  • Leading project teams and developing less experienced colleagues through task management, professional sparring and feedback.
  • Being a coach for less experienced colleagues and sparring with them about their professional and career development.

Qualifications

We are looking for you who have solid experience with accounting and daily operations in a finance department. You can quickly understand new situations, tackle challenging tasks and at the same time maintain an overview of deadlines and quality. You are comfortable discussing professional questions and priorities directly with the client’s finance leadership.

You contribute the following to the team

  • Minimum six years of relevant experience, e.g., as finance manager, financial controller, auditor, accounting manager or consultant.
  • Relevant education in economics, accounting, finance, auditing or a related field.
  • Solid practical experience with accounting, reporting, month- and year-end close, controlling or similar financial processes.
  • Experience taking professional responsibility, prioritizing tasks under time pressure and ensuring the quality of work performed by others.
  • Ability to quickly understand new systems and collaborate with different teams. You speak and write Danish at a level where you can work with clients and other stakeholders

Even if you do not immediately recognise yourself in all the described qualifications, we encourage you to apply if you believe your experience can contribute to the team.
