Gandrup School seeks a teacher - maternity leave cover

Gandrup School is seeking a subject-specialist teacher for a maternity leave cover position of 28 hours per week with start on November 16, 2026.

In this position you will be a central part of the 3rd grade team, where you work together to support students' academic, social and personal well-being.

Your primary tasks and subjects

• Teaching: You will teach Mathematics (3rd grade), Science/Technology (3rd and 4th grade), Swimming (4th grade)
• Team collaboration: Close and committed collaboration in 3rd grade with a focus on shared responsibility, pedagogical reflection and differentiation.
• Home-school collaboration: Ongoing, open and professional dialogue with the parent group.

We expect that you

• Are a trained teacher – preferably with a major in Mathematics and/or Science/Technology.
• Have strong relation-building skills and clear classroom management that creates structure, predictability and safety in the classroom.
• Meet the students with a child-centered view: “Children do the right thing if they can” .
• Can pedagogically differentiate and motivate students based on their individual needs and prerequisites.
• Are an engaged, flexible and professionally capable team player who communicates empathetically and professionally with both students, parents, colleagues and collaborators.

About Gandrup School

Gandrup School has about 280 pupils from 0th-9th grade (1-2 streams) and is a 20-minute drive from Aalborg. We are about 45 staff members working in self-managing teams with a focus on student involvement, team formation and professional collaboration.

Salary and terms of employment

Salary and employment are made in accordance with the applicable collective agreement and local pay formation agreements.
