About the job

"We take care of people with heart disease. But we also take care of each other. It may be the most important reason why so many choose to stay."

Do you want to be a nurse somewhere where high professional standards go hand in hand with presence, development and strong relationships? Where you become part of a community that lifts together – and where your clinical assessment can be decisive for another person’s life?

Then perhaps it’s you we’re looking for.

We are seeking a nurse for a maternity leave position, with the possibility of extension. If you would like to become part of a strong cardiology community where we every day treat patients with complex heart and vascular diseases, you will have the opportunity to try our specialty. We are a workplace where there is room to learn, develop and make a real difference – both for the patients and for each other.

The healthcare system of the future starts right here

The healthcare system is undergoing change. Patients live longer, have more concurrent diseases and move quickly between hospital, municipality and their own home. This places new demands on nursing. Therefore we need nurses who can combine strong clinical skills with an overview, coordination and a view of the entire patient journey.

With us you become part of that development.

You will have a central role in the treatment of patients with both acute and chronic heart diseases, where your observations, clinical assessments and decisions have direct impact on the patient’s treatment and quality of life.

A specialty with both depth and breadth

In the Heart Diseases Unit you meet patients with some of the most complex medical problems. You will work among other things with patients with acute coronary syndrome, heart failure, arrhythmias, valvular diseases and infections of the heart. At the same time you will meet patients with multisystem disease, where nursing requires both high professional competence, curiosity and the ability to create security in an often unpredictable daily life.

No day is the same – and that is precisely what makes the specialty both exciting and developing.

With us you will never stop learning

We believe that the best nurses develop throughout their working life. Therefore you will receive an individually tailored onboarding program over 12 months with mentor, training and ongoing competence development. Whether you are newly graduated or experienced, we meet you where you are.

We have a strong educational culture with clinical instructors, practice supervisors and students from several educations. This means that learning is a natural part of everyday life, and that we develop together.

A community where we succeed together

We know that high quality patient care starts with a good working environment. Therefore we prioritize psychological safety, professional sparring and close multidisciplinary collaboration. With us it is a strength to ask questions, share knowledge and help each other.

We work closely with doctors, therapists, social and health care assistants and other partners, because we believe the best patient pathways are created in collaboration.

And we also remember each other when the workday ends. Our active staff association arranges everything from communal meals and bowling to social events, because community is also created outside the wards.

We want your work life to fit your life

A good work life is also about flexibility. Therefore we plan shifts together with you and offer fixed 8-hour shifts with the possibility to work either every 2nd or every 3rd weekend.

We know that there is life outside the hospital – and we go to great lengths to make work life and private life fit together.

We hope you can see yourself with us

You don’t need to be able to do everything from day one. The most important thing is that you are curious, engaged and want to develop with us.

We imagine that you

  • have an interest in cardiological and medical nursing
  • thrive with complex patient pathways and a high level of professionalism
  • take responsibility and work reflectively
  • contribute to a safe learning environment
  • meet patients, relatives and colleagues with integrity, empathy and respect.

Come and feel the atmosphere

We know that a job advertisement cannot tell you everything. Therefore we would really like to invite you for a coffee and a tour, so you can meet your potential colleagues and experience the department before you decide.

We look forward to showing you why we are proud to work here.

We hold ongoing interviews.
