We are looking for an engaged nurse for day shifts and to work every 4th weekend.

In the coming years, more elderly people will experience psychological distress, multimorbidity, reduced function, and longer-lasting illness trajectories in their own homes. As a municipal nurse, you will have the opportunity to delve into complex and varied nursing tasks for the elderly citizen. We emphasize high professional quality of nursing with a focus on the rehabilitative approach so that citizens can achieve a meaningful daily life and increased quality of life.

There is a strong focus on your professional autonomy as a municipal nurse, and you will therefore determine, adjust and/or conclude nursing interventions yourself as well as plan citizen pathways based on the rehabilitative approach. As a municipal nurse, you will work closely with our social- and health care assistants and social- and health care helpers and therapists in the citizen’s care trajectory. We spar daily across professional groups to offer the citizen a holistic and high-quality care pathway. In addition, we have fixed meeting activities around complex citizens and morning stand-up meetings.

When you are not in the citizens’ homes, you will handle other tasks such as documentation in our electronic journal, dialogue with the out-of-home care assessment team, doctors, hospitals, other professional groups and colleagues.

We therefore hope that you are motivated by a dynamic daily life where you will meet many different citizens and professional challenges. It is required that you are professionally curious, proactive and able to communicate and perform nursing care based on diverse problems in close collaboration with colleagues both internally and externally.

• are able to maintain an overview in complex citizen pathways
• are focused on quality, patient safety, and development in dialogue with citizens and colleagues

We especially work on your professional development occurring in the citizens’ homes close to the task, or you develop your competencies on relevant internal professional courses as well as other courses in the City of Copenhagen.

If you have particular interest in for example palliative care, falls, dementia, nutrition or wounds, you can become a resource person with the opportunity for relevant further education. We also hold nursing professional meetings and reflection forums, where we focus on strengthening the clinical nursing decisions in the citizens’ pathways. Finally, we work with our professional quality through the Improvement Model, which means that relevant improvement initiatives and actions are continuously pursued.

With us you will receive a thorough orientation program, which will be adapted to your knowledge, competencies and experience as well as needs. You will be assigned a mentor who will support you closely in the period you need. We are a staff group with broad and many years of collective experience. We actively work to maintain and develop the good working environment, and that you as a nurse have great influence on the planning of tasks.

Who are we?

Home Care/Nursing Intra City/Østerbro provides practical and personal care and nursing to about 1,900 citizens, primarily over 65 years old. We are about 350 employees in total today, in day, evening and night shifts, and we are located opposite Nordhavn Station with S-train, metro and bus right at the door.

Employment conditions

Salary and employment terms follow the applicable collective agreement with DSR as well as the principles of New Pay.

Working hours are 7.30-15.30 or 7-15. We are flexible regarding shorter or longer workdays and can accommodate individual wishes.

The position has a weekly working time of 37 hours, and we work every 4th weekend. Start as soon as possible.
