At Skovgården we are looking for an engaged social and health care assistant who is passionate about creating safe surroundings and meaningful everyday lives for older people. With us you will become part of a small care home, where relationships, professionalism and collaboration are a natural part of everyday life.

Skovgården is a smaller care home with two departments and 15 residents in each department. The small size creates a safe environment where we know our residents, their relatives and each other. It provides high continuity of care, close relationships and a strong interdisciplinary collaboration.

We work based on the Eden Alternative philosophy, where the care home is first and foremost the residents' home. We focus on quality of life, autonomy, meaningful communities and relationships, and we believe that care is created through presence, respect and an active everyday life.

Your role as a social and health care assistant

As a social and health care assistant you are an important part of the residents' everyday life. You are close to the residents and help create safety, continuity and quality of life through care, nursing and presence.

Your tasks include among other things

• Personal care and support based on each resident's needs and wishes.
• Help residents preserve their resources, autonomy and quality of life.
• Observation of residents' well-being and health and further communication of relevant observations to the nurse and social- and health care assistants.
• Documentation in Nexus.
• Create meaningful activities and communities in daily life together with the residents.
• Be the contact person for residents
• Close collaboration with residents' relatives and other partners.

We are looking for you who

• Are educated as a social- and health care assistant.
• Would preferably have experience from the elderly sector – but newly trained are also very welcome to apply.
• Want to work rehabilitatively and with focus on residents' resources.
• Thrive in an interdisciplinary collaboration and contribute positively to the community.
• Are responsible, present and meet people with respect and care.
• Can work independently and at the same time be a good team player.

Conditions of employment

The position is at the agreed hourly rate according to the applicable collective agreement.

As Skovgården is a care home with 24-hour staffing, work every third weekend and on holidays according to the current duty roster. The duty roster is planned in collaboration with the team with a focus on both continuity and balance between work and private life.

We are holding interviews on November 2 with employment on November 15 or December 1.
