Become a volunteer debt advisor

Finance Denmark collaborates with KFUM's Social Work and Settlement at Vesterbro to provide volunteer debt counselors from the banks for a number of debt counseling sites. The project is financially supported by the Ministry of Social Affairs and the Elderly.

The aim of the counseling is to equip the citizen to manage their finances and thus achieve a better quality of life.

The debt counseling is carried out by you together with a group of volunteers with backgrounds in finance, law and social work. You shall offer independent, confidential and free advice on personal financial matters.

You should, among other things, advise on

• To prepare a budget
• Repayment and restructuring of debt
• Use of the disposable income in the best possible way
• To create calm and overview of loans

In connection with your application you must upload an approval from your HR department to become a volunteer debt counselor.

Brabrand, Esbjerg, Frederiksberg, Grindsted, Haderslev, Haslev, Horsens, Copenhagen V, Odense, Randers, Skjern, Slagelse, Struer, Svendborg, Vejle and Aalborg.

*At Settlementet at Vesterbro you must be able to provide advice every week, while at KFUM it can be e.g. every other week.
