About us

We are about 50 colleagues who look forward to welcoming you.

The dental service has as many as 25 clinical assistants, so you will become part of our strong professional community where we consult and help each other – regardless of discipline.

We have one main clinic in Hjørring and two smaller clinics in Hirtshals and Sindal – all with modern equipment and bright, pleasant surroundings. We also have an independent and well-functioning orthodontics department.

About the positions

With us you get an exciting mixed position, where 3 or 4 days a week you work regularly with a dentist or dental hygienist and 1 or 2 days a week participate in the on-call (flyver) function – i.e., you step in where you are needed due to illness, holidays or courses. Here you can be placed at all 3 of Hjørring Municipal Dental Service clinics. The on-call function is shared with other colleagues, who together form the indispensable multitaskers of the dental service.

During the first half year you will primarily assist our dental hygienists and take care of the on-call function. When you have settled in, the plan is that you also will assist dentists, making the position even more varied.

You must be able to thrive in a daily life that is not always planned down to the last detail and see it as a strength that you can make a difference on short notice where the need arises. Some days you will need to assess yourself where your help does most good, so independence and an overview are important qualities.

The weekly working time is 37 hours, but only in 41 weeks per year, which means you are paid for 33.71 hours per week. This means you get 10 weeks of vacation/leave spread over the year.

Practical information

• Permanent employment from as soon as possible or from 01/12/26
• You get 10 weeks of vacation/leave – we follow the school holidays
• The position is spread across all of the dental service's clinics – but mainly at the Hjørring clinic
• The hours and days can be changed over time.
