About the job
Become a bioanalyst with us – a everyday life of professionalism, variety and collaboration
We are seeking new bioanalyst colleagues for both permanent positions and temporary contracts with start in December 2026 or as agreed.
If you are a soon-to-be-graduated bioanalyst and ready to start working in February 2027, we would also love to hear from you.
Temporary positions are 6–12 months in duration.
The positions are as a rule with an average working time of 37 hours/week.
All positions include participation in the department's shift coverage.
Day shifts start at 7 a.m. – on weekdays and weekends.
All shifts have a duration of 8 hours, which gives a day off about every 3 weeks.
You will become part of a department where shifts are a natural part of daily life, and where we work together to carry the shift task.
You will have influence in the placement of shifts and time off, so you can balance work and private life as best as possible.
In our team you will have varied working days, alternating between laboratory work, blood sampling and possibly other functions such as mobile service or donor sampling.
We have many different tasks, so you must enjoy variation and be able to adapt to the day's needs. This requires professional overview, flexibility and good collaboration with your colleagues.
Pre-analytics
Blood sampling and ECG recording in the hospital's departments, sampling outpatient clinic, satellite clinics, Grenå Health House, possibility to participate in Mobile Service and possibility to perform distal blood pressure measurement.
The pre-analytical functions are part of all positions and temporary jobs.
Patient contact is often brief, and therefore we place emphasis on your ability to meet different people professionally and respectfully and to quickly create trust and security.
Chemistry
In addition to the pre-analytical functions you will be part of the work in our chemistry group, where analyses are performed within chemistry, immunochemistry, distribution of blood components and acid/base.
Hematology
In addition to the pre-analytical functions you will be part of the work in our hematology group, where analyses are performed within hematology, coagulation, blood bank and acid/base.
We expect that you
are a trained bioanalyst
- are keen on both patient contact and laboratory work
- are professionally engaged, service-oriented and quality-conscious
- have good relational skills and can establish a professional and reassuring contact with patients and relatives
- communicate respectfully and clearly with patients, relatives, colleagues and partners
- thrive in a daily life where tasks and priorities can change, and where it is necessary to adapt
- can maintain an overview, and can both see and take responsibility for both own and shared tasks
- work independently, but at the same time view collaboration and sparring as a natural part of the workday
- actively participate in training and guidance of bioanalyst students and new colleagues and have a desire to learn from you
- contribute actively and positively to the collaboration and the good working community both within and outside your own department
We offer
- a department with dynamism, commitment and high professional standards
- a department that sees opportunities and continuously develops its workflows and functions
- a varied workday with both patient contact and analysis work
- thorough training within your field of expertise with a view to participation in the department's shift program
- opportunity for professional development and to contribute to training of future colleagues
- a good working environment and social network
- You will have the opportunity to participate in determining shift allocations and time off to balance work and private life as well as possible.
The Laboratory Unit comprises two sections: Blood Tests and Biochemistry as well as Pathology.
The department serves the clinical departments at Randers Regional Hospital as well as the area's GPs and specialists.
The total staff is about 125 employees, about 80 in Blood Tests and Biochemistry and about 45 in Pathology. Bioanalysts constitute by far the largest group, but there are also doctors, AC staff, nurses and secretaries.
Pathology has a production of about 30,000 histology specimens and about 90,000 cytology specimens annually. The cytological samples mainly consist of screening samples from the cervical cancer screening program. The cervix cytology area has just been ISO accredited.
Blood Tests and Biochemistry has been ISO accredited since 2006. The total analysis production is about 5 million analysis results per year with a broad repertoire and in addition a number of specialised analyses within the gastrointestinal area.
In addition, the department has a blood bank function with donor tapping at Grenå Health House and Randers Health Center as well as blood sampling at four decentralised sampling units.
