About the job

Become a bioanalyst with us – a daily life of professionalism, variety and collaboration

We are seeking new bioanalyst colleagues for both permanent positions and temporary contracts with start in December 2026 or by agreement.

Are you a soon-to-be graduate bioanalyst and ready to start your working life in February 2027, we would also very much like to hear from you.

The temporary positions are 6–12 months in duration.

The positions are generally with an average of 37 hours per week.

All positions include participation in the department's on-call coverage.

Day shifts start at 7 AM – on weekdays and weekends.

All shifts are 8 hours, which provides a day off about every 3 weeks.

You will become part of a section where shifts are a natural part of daily life, and where we work together to meet the on-call task.

You will have the opportunity to have a say in shift placement and time off so you can balance work and private life as best as possible.

With us you get varied workdays, where you switch between laboratory work, blood sampling and possibly other functions such as, for example, mobile service or donor phlebotomy.

We have many different tasks, and you must therefore thrive on variation and be able to adapt to the day's needs. It requires professional overview, flexibility and good cooperation with your colleagues.

Pre-analytical

Blood sampling and ECG recording at the hospital's departments, sampling clinic, satellite clinics, Grenå Health House, possibility to participate in Mobile Service and possibility to perform distal blood pressure measurement.

The pre-analytical functions are a part of all positions and temporary contracts.

Patient contact is often brief, and therefore we emphasize that you can meet different people professionally and respectfully and quickly build trust and security.

Chemistry

In addition to the pre-analytical functions, you will be part of the work in our chemistry group, where analysis work is performed within chemistry, immunochemistry, distribution of blood components and acid/base.

Hematology

In addition to the pre-analytical functions, you will be part of the work in our hematology group, where analysis work is performed within hematology, coagulation, blood bank and acid/base.

We expect that you

are trained bioanalyst

  • are eager for both patient contact and laboratory work
  • are professionally engaged, service-oriented and quality-conscious
  • have good relational skills and can establish a professional and reassuring contact with patients and relatives
  • communicate respectfully and clearly with patients, relatives, colleagues and partners
  • thrive in a daily life where tasks and priorities can change and where it is necessary to adapt
  • can maintain an overview, and can both see and take responsibility for both own and shared tasks
  • work independently, but at the same time see cooperation and sparring as a natural part of the work day
  • actively participate in training and guidance of bioanalyst students and new colleagues and are keen to learn from you
  • actively and positively contribute to collaboration and the good work community both within and outside your own department

We offer

  • a department with dynamism, engagement and high professionalism
  • a department that sees opportunities and continually develops its workflows and functions
  • a varied working day with both patient contact and analysis work
  • thorough training within your field of expertise and with a view to participating in the department's on-call program
  • opportunity for professional development and to contribute to training of future colleagues
  • a good working environment and social network
  • You will have the opportunity to influence shift placement and time off so you can best balance work and private life.

The Laboratory Unit consists of two sections: Blood Tests and Biochemistry, and Pathology.

The department serves the clinical departments at Randers Regional Hospital as well as the region's general practitioners and specialists.

The total staff is about 125 employees, distributed with about 80 in Blood Tests and Biochemistry and about 45 in Pathology. The bioanalysts constitute by far the largest group of staff, but there are also doctors, AC staff, nurses and secretaries.

Pathology has a production of about 30,000 histology samples and about 90,000 cytology samples annually. The cytology samples are primarily screening samples from the cervical cancer program. The cervix cytology area has just been ISO-certified.

Blood Tests and Biochemistry have been ISO-certified since 2006. The total analysis production is about 5 million analysis results per year with a wide repertoire of analyses and also a number of special analyses within the gastrointestinal area.

In addition, the department has a blood bank function with donor collection in Grenå Health House and Randers Health Center as well as blood sampling in four decentralized sampling units.
