About the job

Are you eager to make a difference for patients through professionalism, presence, and good communication? Do you thrive with a varied workday, many patient contacts, and a strong collegial community?

So perhaps you are the one we are looking for as our new colleague in Blood Tests and EKG at Vejle Hospital .

We offer a permanent position of 37 hours per week with start on January 1, 2027 or by agreement.

Who are we?

Biochemistry and Immunology handles laboratory operations across Sygehus Lillebelt. In the department of Blood Tests and EKG at Vejle Hospital, we are 20 bioanalysts who every day solve important pre-analytical tasks with the patient at the center.

We focus on high professional quality, good patient pathways and a working environment where collaboration and well-being are a natural part of everyday life.

The department is led by a chief bioanalyst who prioritizes presence and visible leadership, employee involvement, and close cooperation across the department.

A varied daily life with the patient at the center

With us you will have a varied workday where you meet patients in different situations and contribute to making their examination and treatment process as safe and cohesive as possible.

Your tasks will include, among other things

  • Blood sample collection and EKG recording in the outpatient clinic, on ward beds, including departments at the Psychiatric Hospital.
  • Stress tests of outpatient patients.
  • Blood sample collection and EKG recording at nursing homes, in group housing and in the patients’ own homes.
  • Ultrasound-guided blood collection.
  • Quality assurance and analyses on the hospital’s POCT equipment.
  • Participation in projects that among other things include blood sampling.
  • Secretarial tasks in the outpatient clinic for Blood Tests and EKG.

The tasks require both your professional skills, your ability to establish contact and your understanding of the individual patient’s needs.

A good start to your new job

We know that a good introduction is crucial to get a good handle on both the tasks and the community.

Therefore we arrange an individual induction and training program based on your competencies and experience. The program typically lasts 2-3 months and ends with an introduction to the department’s various shifts together with an experienced colleague.

This will give you the opportunity to build the necessary security in the tasks and be well prepared for your new daily life.

The position is included in a duty roster with evening shifts on weekdays, long weekdays, and day shifts on weekends and public holidays.

Who are you?

We are looking for a bioanalyst who wants to be part of a patient-facing department where professionalism, collaboration and responsibility go hand in hand.

We emphasize that you

  • Put the patient first and meet the individual with respect and care.
  • See blood sampling and EKG recording as central and important tasks.
  • Thrive with many patient contacts and be able to adapt your communication to different people and situations.
  • Contribute positively to collaboration with colleagues and other professional groups.
  • Communicate clearly and respectfully.
  • Are open, honest and welcoming.
  • Work independently, take responsibility and maintain overview in a varied daily life.

You do not need to know everything from day one. The most important is that you want to learn, develop professionally and contribute to good teamwork.

What can you expect from us?

We offer a workplace where you have the opportunity to make a concrete difference for the patients and become part of an engaged professional community.

With us you get

  • A meaningful and varied daily workload.
  • An individually tailored induction program.
  • Engaged colleagues who help each other and collaborate on tasks.
  • Focus on well-being, respect and a good working environment.
  • Opportunities to contribute with your competencies and help develop our shared task solution.

We believe we are most successful when we help each other, share our knowledge and have regard for both patients’ and colleagues’ needs.
