At Bigadan we develop, construct, operate and own complete biogas systems. We work across all links – from the procurement of biomass and waste handling to the delivery of biogas, biogenic CO₂ and nutrient-rich fertiliser – in Denmark, Europe and the USA.

Job Description

Your primary tasks will be to communicate digested biomass to farmers, and together with the transporter plan the distribution of slurry and digested biomass. Dialogue with farmers and transporters will be a large part of your daily life, but there will also be tasks related to documentation and quality assurance. You will be part of an operations team of 12 employees.

As part of the daily operations you will perform tasks such as

• Koordinating slurry volumes into the plant, as well as communicating digested slurry, including the preparation of contracts
• Registration of biomasses
• Collection of analyses
• Reporting data and production follow-up (biomass and energy)
• Handling and control of transport documents and archiving
• Preparation and quality assurance of data for invoicing
• Obtaining B1 forms and filing for the manure accounting
• Our contact to the supplier association

It is an advantage if you

• Have an educational background as agronomist, agricultural technician, farmer, soil technologist or similar.
• Have knowledge of agriculture, possibly from the grain/commodities sector/agricultural advisory or similar.
• Possess good commercial sense
• Are systematic and structured
• Have knowledge of the Office suite and experience with Excel
• Are a good team player
• Master Danish and English in writing and speech

Herning Bioenergi

Consists of 2 biogas plants. Sinding Biogas was inaugurated in 1988 and Studsgård in 1996. The two plants process annually 500,000 tons of livestock manure and other biomasses. Both plants have undergone several refurbishments and expansions since Bigadan took over the plants in 2009. In 2025/26 three upgrading plants will be established, as well as a plant for the production of liquid CO2.
