About the position

As Category Manager you will be responsible for developing and shaping one of ISS Denmark's largest and most strategically important categories. You will become a central driver in realising our Food strategy towards 2029 and will have the opportunity to leave a clear mark on the customer experience, supplier landscape and our commercial development.

You will be responsible for developing and implementing long-term category strategies that support our growth ambitions, customer promises and sustainability goals.

The role is for someone who wants to combine category development, commercial insight and strategic partnerships. You will work across the entire value chain and collaborate closely with operations, sales, customers, suppliers and international ISS colleagues to shape the future of Food solutions.

Your influence spans broadly – from assortment strategy and sourcing to development of new concepts, sustainable alternatives and future partnership models.

Your primary areas of responsibility are to

• Develop and implement the Food category strategy towards 2029
• Drive the development of the Food category through market insights, innovation and close collaboration with strategic suppliers
• Analyse market, price and consumer trends and translate insights into concrete business initiatives
• Support ISS’s sustainability agenda including reducing climate impact, responsible procurement and developing more sustainable assortments
• Collaborate closely with operations, sales, Food teams and customers to develop competitive Food solutions

The position is based at our Danish head office in Copenhagen N , and we offer flexibility in the planning of both workplace and working hours.

About you

You are curious, commercially oriented and motivated by challenging the status quo. You see opportunities across the value chain, create long-term results and know how to bring people together around common goals. At the same time you can balance economy, sustainability, quality and customer experience in your decisions.

We imagine that you

• Have experience with Category Management, category development, strategic purchasing or commercial development within Food, FMCG, Foodservice or related categories
• Have experience with complex negotiations and building value-creating supplier partnerships
• Have an interest in trends within food, sustainability, innovation and consumer behaviour
• Can document results with category development and translating market insights into concrete business value
• Communicate professionally in both Danish and English

Your background could be from FMCG, Foodservice, catering, retail or food production, where you have worked with category development, assortment, sourcing, commercial partnerships or business development. Your current title is not decisive. The most important thing is that you are motivated by translating market opportunities into results and want greater strategic influence on the development of a category.
