Become the district leader for the Skovlunde district in Ballerup Municipality

High ambitions for the children, strong professional environments and a daycare area that is prioritized. Now we are seeking an experienced leader for one of Ballerup Municipality's largest and most diverse daycare districts.

The Skovlunde District comprises six very different daycare centers, more than 200 staff, and a budget of around DKK 100 million. Here you will find both one of the municipality's smallest and the largest daycare house, different local areas and children and families with different needs and life circumstances. Common is a high level of professionalism and a strong ambition to continuously develop the pedagogical quality and create good participation opportunities for all children.

As district leader you will have a prominent leadership role. You will have direct management responsibility for ten pedagogical leaders and two administrative staff. The pedagogical leaders range from completely new leaders to leaders with many years of experience, and you must be able to be a relevant leader for them all. You must create a strong leadership community and unite the district around a common direction across six very different daycare houses, without the differences between them disappearing.

There is much to build on. Skovlunde has a strong professional foundation, good results in quality work, and engaged leaders and staff who want the community and the children. At the same time, the child area is politically prioritized in Ballerup Municipality. This is felt, among other things, in good staffing levels, investments in education and skills development, and high ambitions for the pedagogical quality and for all children's participation opportunities.

As a new district leader, an important task will be to create calm and continuity around the continued development. You must build on what works, create trust and transparency, and set a clear direction that makes sense for both leaders and staff. Not least you must create coherence between the political ambitions, the shared priorities, and everyday life right down to each daycare house.

You will also have a significant economic and organizational weight to work with. Resources, staffing, quality, and pedagogical ambitions must hang together, and the district's size provides opportunities to think crosswise, use the combined expertise wisely, and create solutions that a single daycare house cannot create alone.

In Ballerup, the day nurseries are not alone either. The collaboration around the children cuts across, among other things, daycare, school, and PPR, and the municipality has for many years worked with strong general communities and coherent interventions. As district leader you will therefore be both leader of Skovlunde and part of the joint leadership of the daycare area in Ballerup.

The position is for you who can gather without homogenizing, create direction and meaning across and get other leaders to succeed. Who has an eye for both the children, the professionalism, the people, and the resources, and who wants to lead a district where the breadth is wide and the ambitions are high.

Employment process and salary

The employment date is January 1, 2027

We expect to hold first interviews on November 3 and second interviews on November 19.

The position is basically 37 hours and is a permanent position.

We offer salary and terms of employment according to the collective agreement for Leaders – pedagogically educated staff in municipalities.

Employment is based on principles of local wage formation and in agreement with the negotiating organization.

The salary for the position is 81,427.87 DKK per month without pension for full-time employment (37 hours per week).

The final salary is set after negotiations between the employer and the trade organization with negotiating rights in the relevant collective agreement area. The salary depends, among other things, on your education, documented seniority, and qualifications.
